During my recent 3-day, 2-night trip to Kaohsiung, Taiwan, I chose to stay at Papo’a Harbor Hotel, and overall, it was a pleasant and memorable experience.
Location:
The hotel boasts a great location—very close to Cijin Beach, making it an ideal choice for beach lovers and those wanting to explore the scenic coastline.
Check-in & Check-out:
One minor downside is the late check-in time at 4:00 PM, which felt a bit inconvenient, especially for travelers arriving early. Check-out is before 11:00 AM, which is standard but still slightly restrictive if you’re hoping for a slow morning.
Security:
One of the most impressive features of this hotel is its exceptional security. Access to the hotel lobby and rooms is controlled by individual passcodes, rather than keycards. This added a sense of safety and privacy throughout the stay.
Rooms & Cleanliness:
Rooms were spotless, tidy, and well-organized, each featuring a private balcony, which was a lovely bonus. The minimalist yet functional design made the room feel cozy and efficient.
Amenities:
A heads-up for travelers—like many hotels in Taiwan, bottled water and bathroom amenities are not provided. Guests should come prepared with personal essentials.
Service:
The staff were friendly, polite, and attentive. Housekeeping was consistent and thorough, contributing to the hotel’s overall clean and welcoming atmosphere.
Overall Impression:
I highly recommend Papo’a Harbor Hotel for travelers seeking a clean, secure, and conveniently located place to stay in Kaohsiung. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next visit.
