One night waiting to get on a boat. Room was comfortable, be was ok, shower was great. Dinner was really good on the restaurant and the buffet breakfast was plentiful

We really enjoyed our stay at La Poste. We were warmly welcomed at check even though it was a very rainy day. The room was very large and clean and dinner that night was fantastic.

Very clean and basic rooms, with nicely modern bathroom with towel heater.

Superb cuisine served respectfully in very comfortable and attractive surroundings. Very pleasant and thoughtful staff who reacted respectfully to my walking disability.

Excellent 4-nights stay with comfortable accommodation and friendly staff. Recently refurbished public areas and both of our rooms were very clean and modern. The food and service in the restaurant was excellent, as was the breakfast.

Convenient in the centre of the town. Very clean. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Has had a lot of improvements made over the last few years. Some staff speak English.

The Hotel de la Post and the town of Clamecy was the perfect combination prior to our holiday on the Canal de Nivernais.

The room was clean, and certainly ok for our one night stay. The restaurant was really great, surroundings, food and service all first class

Friendly staff, clean rooms, charming neighborhood.

Overall a wonderful stay. Room was of good size for Europe. No air conditioning but we traveled in April. No lift. Restaurant had very good food. Price was high but so was other restaurants in same town so in line with area. Good service. Beautiful area!

Rooms are very basic & if they spent a few Eoros on updating Towels& bedding they would certainly make the room we stayed in much more attractive.The Restaurant attached had magnificent food & an extensive Wine list.Our meal was memorable -Cauliflower Gaspachio & Crayfish & beautiful Beef

My concerns are about the breakfast - at €10. There are no concessions to a healthy diet. 1. There is no alternative offered to butter as a spread, let alone any low fat possibility for people with cholesterol problems. 2. Not one single wholemeal item was on offer. I happen to know that one can buy really good wholemeal organic bread at the market in Clamecy but all you can get is white sliced loaf or croissants. A major complaint also concerns the tea. They give you a pot of hot water and you choose teabags. These all contain very small quanitites of various posh kinds of tea so it just comes out like water. In France it is possible to buy UK brands of ordinary tea like PG Tips. It is probably cheaper and would certainly be appreciated by UK travellers.

A very characterful property. The staff were very friendly but not very much English is spoken. My room was a good size.
