Room very dark, partly a result of the scaffolding on the outside of the building while repainting the exterior.

The Kings Arm was in such a good location in Woodstock within walking distance of all the shops and beautiful Blenheim Palace. It is nice to stay in such a historic pub and hotel, but as with many aged facilities there are some trade offs. The bed was very comfortable, but the room could get incredibly hot. The room is also quite tight for 2 travelers. The small shower needed servicing as the metal soap, shampoo holder was totally hanging off one side and also had poor drainage, once leaking on the floor. Unfortunately on one of the days we were there we also woke up to no running water and there still was no water when we returned near bedtime. I did request some sort of compensation for inconvenience but none was offered. Also there is a bad odor in the upstairs corridor from years of frying fish downstairs or something and allergens were quite pronounced here.Parking is on the street and you must pay for it. We were directed to a “free “ car park but ended up getting a parking ticket there because it was changed to pay parking some months ago and is poorly signed as such. However, the breakfasts were very good, offering both continental and cooked to order options and are eaten in a lovely atrium. The staff was super friendly and accommodating to our needs. Despite the hiccups stated we very much enjoyed our stay.

My room was nice, but half the lighting didn't work, and the hot water system broke overnight leaving all guests unable to take a shower.l The staff were lovely, and the breakfast options were plentiful and of very good quality.

The room was clean but stuffy - window could not be opened. There was a skeleton staff during the day, but nobody at night. Street parking was quite distant from hotel and costly. Breakfast was OK, although we would have liked to have some fresh fruit or a fruit salad.

Room was beautiful decorated with decent sized bathroom, great shower and toiletries, very comfortable bed and nespresso coffee machine. It was quite warm despite the heating being off, but we were able to open the window a bit and there was a fan already in the room. Breakfast was an unexpected treat! Menu options were great for hot food (you get to choose one dish) with savoury and sweet options (I regret not also ordering the banana bread with coffee cream!) as well as pastries, fruit, yogurt and fresh juice. We opted for the cooked breakfast and it was such high quality. On-street parking was initially a bit confusing but we found a spot just round the corner and not unreasonably priced. Overall thought this was a great value for money visit and we will certainly be back.

Another great stay at The Kings Arms. The room was great, overlooking the main street. It was large and cosy. It had everything you needed for a night (or a few) away. It had a coffee machine, fresh bottled still water and the lovely Bramley toiletries in the bathroom. The staff were kind and helpful and made our stay the best it could be. We had the included breakfast which was great, a brand new menu with so much choice for everyone's taste! The Hotel doesn't have parking however as a Blue Badge Holder I was lucky enough to park not far away on the same street for unlimited time. We come every year to enjoy the splendour of Blenheim Palace and its grounds so chosing to stay the night in Woodstock suits us perfectly. It is only a 2 minute drive or you can park in the town and walk through the gate. Highly recommond this historic Inn for your stay.

Bathroom could be cleaner. Damp on the ceiling and moult around the shower enclosure. Inside Windows and frames also could do with cleaning.
