Car park nearby free after 6pm.Attractive building on the outside, entrance straight into rather beery bar and games area. Untidy bar top serves as reception. Route to rooms through function room ( fortunately only a small dance class took place on the night of our stay). No separate dining area so chose not to eat there. Very limited food option in Modbury. Room itself clean, tidy, and quite comfortable. Fairly constant through traffic for light sleepers, but ear plugs supplied in room. Comfortable beds. Did not stay for breakfast, served in bar, at additional £10.

Clean and quiet, very comfy bed. Staff were very friendly and helpful, even when I’d asked about a bowling club in Modbury that a family member used, the lovely bar staff said she’d find out for me. Fantastic full English with great sausages. Nothing seemed too much trouble Thanks for a great stay at a difficult time.

Staff very welcoming and friendly, it’s a really nice pub so had pool table dart board and is in a very lovely village away from the towns and cities . Room was lovely , a visit here would be great for families and you are close to Plymouth or the Devon coast . Free parking at night until 08.00 am , I would visit again

A really friendly pub and hotel with a great welcome and fantastic staff/team. Nothing was too much trouble and a very tasty breakfast. Good food options in the evening and I definitely recommend the Dartmoor Brewery Legend on tap! Excellent value for money and would definitely stay again

The staff were really helpful and regularly checked we had everything we needed to make our stay a happy one. The room was spacious, modern furniture and with a recently refurbished bathroom. The hotel is an old building (part of its appeal) so not all parts of the hotel can look brand new. There is a pool table, darts and TV in the downstairs areas. Local groups used meeting rooms (upstairs) for events, while we were there. It felt like it was a good example of the traditional pub at the centre of the community, as well as warm and welcoming to visitors like us. We had a roadside room. We could hear traffic from the road, but the road wasn't busy at night so we slept well. Not all rooms are roadside if that is a concern. We had breakfast and an evening meal. The food was to a high standard and generous portions. The menu was small, but well cooked and with a good variety. We don't eat meat and we had a number of choices from the menu we could choose. A good range of local draft ales and beers! There is no dedicated hotel car park, but there is a short stay car park behind for unloading. A long stay car park is just a few steps down the road from the hotel and reasonably priced. Thank you to the team at White Hart Hotel for your warm welcome during our stay.

All going well until I went for breakfast at the time agreed & no one turned up to do anything!!! Left after waiting an hour with no breakfast which was included in the price. No a great start to a long day?!?!?

The property was clearly undergoing a transformation and only partly ready for the public. However the bedrooms were beautifully decorated and the breakfast was very good. Some nice touches make the stay a step above the ordinary.
