The pricing was great compared to the hotels in the area. Wonderful location to my event. Cute stub tailed kittens outside that suckered me into getting cat food for them. Being out in the woods was great. Just needs an update on the signage. Bigger signs . Maybe more thrash cans. It was a great stay. Thanks.

Really liked the quietness of the area. Quaint and cozy. I personally liked the comfortable bed and feeling of being out in a cabin.

Stay was ok. What they fail to tell you BEFORE you book the room is that it is a SHARED house. You have to share the living area and kitchen with whoever else is there. The bathroom for the King Suite is accessible to everyone in the house and you have to go out of the room to access yourself. We were lucky that nobody booked the other area while we were there so we did have the house to ourselves. The directions they give you are not correct so you're likely to get lost the first time you go, so it is best to make sure you can check in during the day before it gets dark. They tell you if the kitchen/living area are not clean, you will be charged $100, but if you're sharing with other people, how do they know who made the mess and who to charge. It would be a better place if the owners gave a better description of what you're getting before you reserve it.

Very unique, Luna is a camper, and I enjoyed my stay nothing bad to talk about. I enjoyed the remoteness, and the quiet. The camper could use a little updating, and a nice wipe down. The shower nozzle is loose, and the toaster was dirty. All and all it was a good stay.

This was supposed to be a quick one day stay on our way passing through the town, and it was great! It was clean, quaint, and it had very interesting decor. We loved the vintage feel and I played Earth, Wind, and Fire and the other blues albums on the record player several times. I also took interest to some of the books that were so graciously offered there to read. Overall, it was a very cozy spot and I would recommend to anyone who wants a simple, peaceful stay with a retro country flare, good books, and music.

We enjoyed the place so much that we ended up booking an additional day. Cozy, clean, quiet, and well worth the money. I'll definitely be going back when in the area. Loved the King Suite with private bathroom, private entry, and cleanliness of all rooms. Lovely place.

Nice place with bare minimum things to cook with but just treat it like camping with a house. We stayed in a bungalow- seems like it’s in the boonies but it isn’t. We lost all water for our stay but was nicely refunded by the host. I would stay again in the big house but it is divided by floors for booking so you’d need to book everything to not have a “roomie” so to speak. We live in San Marcos so bringing things in or showering at our place was no biggie. It is pet friendly but there is a $25 per pet per night fee that Expedia did not mention. The owner is a nice guy and I’ll rent again for sure and hopefully won’t have well issues. It’s very close to town and I believe each house rental on property has a small area fenced which is awesome for small doggos. Bring wood and your personal KP if you want to cook. No tv but we weren’t there for that. Overall not having water was a drag but that was a mishap and we liked the property- oh! No low-riders on the dirt road in! You will drag lol.

It is off in the country a little bit. This allows it to be surrounded by nature and experience the quiet available only in the hill country. I am a regular at this stay, only issue I have ever had is a prior guest smoked in the restroom on a trip. Aside from that, every stay has been perfect!

House, rooms, and property were very nice. However, instructions were not very clear on entry or rules for the stay. Additionally, the “private” bathroom we booked was open to the main rooms of the building and the world since the front door had to remain unlocked. We were woken up to others banging on the front door, due to the fact we were not told to leave the front door unlocked.

They have coffee and all the basic stuff and the thing I didn’t like is the towels they didn’t provide good white towels to dry after take a shower. We were 3 adults and not white towels, so we have to share a towel.

It's a lovely, relaxing place to stay. I am here on business and was able to enjoy the peace of the abundant nature around me while I worked a bit. There is an eco-conscious vibe here which I enjoy. Lots of community space. Non-toxic cleaning supplies and everything you need in the kitchen to make your own food if you're like me and don't eat at restaurants. You could literally stay here the entire time and never have to leave - making it your actual vacation spot! Lots of things to do in the area for those coming for exploration. I booked a few more nights... so far, so good! GMM

the only problem and I noticed one other person had it too is the check in communication. I came in the dark and for what ever reason I didn't get my email at first with the door code.I had a terrible time trying to contact anyone and then my phone started beeping and in came some texts. Other than that I loved the place it had exactly what my sister and I needed. But a couple days later a couple women in a car stopped and couldnt figure out what was going on and where their place was they were extremely frustrated. I told them not to give up that our place was lovely and it was worth the frustration.
