This is our second stay in two years. We came back to celebrate our wedding anniversary with them. Place is clean, rooms were bright and sunny with two balconies. Staff is super friendly and attentive. They communicate through Whatsapp should you need to contact the front desk, as there's no phone in the room. Request were fulfilled promptly. This was overall an excellent stay. The hotel is right across from the valladolid sign, the convent and the nice pedestrian street Calle Frailes. Very walkable, lots of nice shops and restaurants in the area. Please note, this location is right next door to the popular tourist attraction San Bernadino convent, which has events and music regularly scheduled at night until 10 pm . So if you're looking to go to bed and rest early be advised. They do however offer earplugs. They do not have an elevator so if you have large luggage you can request the staff to help you. If there's disability issues maybe ask for a room on the ground floor. We will be staying with them again if we're back in Valladolid next time. Thanks for a great time!

Great location a short walk up to the cathedral square! We loved it - pool area is small but good for a dip after being out exploring!

Five stars for the atmosphere and location! The rooms are spacious and clean. The only small gripe is the plumbing restriction (no flushing toilet paper), which takes a little getting used to. Overall, a fantastic choice for a comfortable and convenient stay.

I stayed at Frater Yucatán Hotel in Valladolid and overall had a pleasant experience with some clear strengths and areas that could be improved. One of the highlights of the hotel is its exterior design and architectural style. The façade and floor details give the place a rustic, almost medieval monastery-like character, which creates a unique and charming atmosphere. The location is another strong advantage. It is very central, making it easy to walk to several points of interest around Valladolid and return comfortably to the hotel at any time. That said, there are a few aspects that could make the stay even better. The cleanliness was acceptable, but there is definitely room for improvement to match the aesthetic quality the hotel aims to offer. It also feels like there was a good investment in the original infrastructure and design, but maintenance could be more consistent to preserve that same visual standard over time. Another detail worth improving is the condition of some room amenities. For example, the towels showed visible wear, and the bedsheets had noticeable holes, which affected the overall comfort experience. These are small but important details that can make a big difference for guests. Overall, the hotel has great potential thanks to its location, style, and concept. With a bit more attention to maintenance and room details, it could easily provide a much stronger experience. Considering the reasonable price range, I would rate the stay as a solid 3-st

Beautiful, large room with good AC and a comfy king bed. It’s an excellent location and the little pool area is nice. The large indoor spa bath was great in theory but there wasn’t enough water to fill it

Clean room, super spacious & comfortable. We stayed during the week so I don’t think it was as loud nearby as it may be on the weekends. Our shower didn’t get super hot all the time but other than that we had zero issues.

Overall, we had a mixed but mostly positive stay. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming — they helped us with our luggage and took the time to explain the room details, which we really appreciated. The room itself was spacious and generally clean, and we especially liked the private little courtyard where we could sit and enjoy coffee. The balcony facing the inner yard with a hammock was a lovely touch and made the space feel relaxing and unique. The main downside was the bedding cleanliness — we noticed visible stains on the pillows and sheets, which affected our comfort. It was also a bit noisy before 11 pm. If the hotel improves the bedding quality and noise control, the overall experience would be excellent.

Bedroom was massive and clean. Well stocked fridge and bathroom. Just really lovely and clean throughout. Location is superb, max 10 minutes to central on foot and you get to walk along one of the most famous streets in the area.

A little bit below the expectation. The area is good and near to famous avenue and monastery. However, there is apparently not enough devotion into the inner design especially the furniture and modern equipment given its price and outdoor facilities and welcomed cafe.

Staff very helpful. Jacuzzi room was nice. Updating suggested in pool area as wood of deck deteriorated. Jacuzzi room needed dusting as cobwebs on headboard. If you can sleep with barking dogs on and off at night this is a good place to be. We were allowed to go up on terrace to listen concert of Julieta Venegas and we very appreciative of this added plus as there were tons of fans in concert grounds. Location is close to restaurants. Thanks to everyone who made our stay enjoyable!

Only stayed one night but was very pleased with our stay. There was some distant noise from a nearby club and the birds in the morning but we were provided ear plugs that we didn’t end up needing. Location was great . Property was beautiful and clean. Check in/out was quick and smooth. Breakfast at Mariapura Cafe was amazing!

Wonderful stay at the Frater Yucatan! My wife and I packed in a lot during a short trip and the hotel was the perfect place to unwind due to its comfort, beauty and hospitality. We cannot say enough about the staff, who went above and beyond to make our visit comfortable. Both David and Julie especially took care of our hotel needs while offering valuable travel tips and most importantly a sincere friendliness that made us feel welcome. Also the hotel was in a great area to enjoy a charming city and we had no problem finding parking.
