This was our favorite stay in Japan! The staff were the kindest and most helpful people. The room was absolutely gorgeous and so comfortable. We stayed in the river suite (Jitoku) and the sound of the water was so peaceful. The room has an attached private shower/bath, toilet, and sink. There is an onsen available that is private (it can hold up to two people in the same group, you mark it as occupied when you are in there). The surrounding area is so beautiful, we saw several monkeys and the waterfall. There are a bunch of cafes around that close around 1600-1700, but there are a few restaurants open later closer to the station (including a Lawsons). We can’t wait to come back and do some more relaxing and hiking!

Wonderful experience

The location is beautiful and serene, the staff takes great care of you. They serve a wonderful Japanese breakfast, and are nestled right along the river in the park. It’s a short hike to the waterfall, and also down to minoh station, to connect you to the rest of Osaka. Finally, when your day is done they have an amazing private spa, which comes as part of the experience. It includes a hot spa bath, shower, and sauna, that really complement the location and help you relax.

Beautiful hotel, beautiful room, excellent service by staff

This Ryokan is so beautiful, in a very peaceful place, with an amazing staff. I felt like I was being taken care of like I was part of the family. I felt at home, with the cozy rooms and the onsen was definitely the highlight for me. I would highly recommend the breakfast option because they were so delicious and different every morning!

the staff was very welcoming

There are not enough good things I can say about my stay here. Although my stay was short, I thoroughly enjoyed my time here. The room I had was beautiful with a view of the garden and nature surrounding the minoh falls trail. The baths were clean and had supplies for a relaxing time provided. Yuki (one of the staff) was extremely accommodating and thoughtful, she made the stay really. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

Vi valde detta boende för att komma ifrån city för en natt. Boendet ligger i ett naturreservat med naturskön omgivning. Trevlig promenad från tågstationen, och ca 20-30 minuter promenad bort finns ett vackert vattenfall. Rummet var rymligt, rent och otroligt mysigt i japansk stil. Externt bad som även de var mysiga och rena. Mycket trevlig personal.

Everything about this ryokan was perfect. A beautiful walk in nature up to the premise, friendly and warm welcome, spotlessly clean room, relaxing private bath, delicious breakfast, all with the most lovely hospitality. Thank you for the best memories.
