Waitomo Glowworm Caves are a beautiful grotto to explore, with thousands of miniscule glow worms lighting the cave up and unintentionally imitating the glowing night sky. This is one of the most popular attractions in the region, and for good reason, the sights in the Glow Worm Cave such as the limestone formations will take your breath away. Visitors should allow at least 45 minutes to explore the glowworm caves with tours running every half hour throughout the day. 

The second atraction included in this package; Ruakuri Cave, offers views of the 'other' side of Waikato cave systems. With a range of incredible sights including cascading waterfalls that echo through the caves and delicate limestone formations, Ruakuri Cave is a beautiful sight to see. Tours through this cave system are to be booked prior to your arrival as they aren't as frequent as the Waitomo Cave tours. 

For convenience, there is a shuttle bus that operates from the visitor centre to the cave entrance, however during peak periods, those with access to cars may be required to drive themselves to the entrance.
