- Attractions Introduction -
The Wulai Trolley Bus initially served only as a lumber transport. Due to the growing demand for Wulai Waterfall sightseeing, passenger transport officially began in 1963, using human-powered transport. To accommodate the growing number of visitors, the bus was motorized in 1964, powered by a diesel engine. In 1987, despite significant challenges, a tunnel was excavated through the Wulai Waterfall Station to replace the original turntable, a system that continues to operate today. The approximately 1.6-kilometer route runs from Wulai Station to the Waterfall Station, running daily from 8:00 to 17:00. Operating hours are adjusted to accommodate peak summer season, allowing for a more frequent service. The trolley bus is a must-see attraction for both adults and children alike when visiting Wulai Old Street.
