About Grand Palace & Emerald Buddha & Reclining Buddha (Morning Visit) - Half-day Tour

As the residence of Thailand’s royal families in the past, the majestic golden Grand Palace always comes in visitors’ top list. This tour will take you around Thai sacred complex to appreciate exquisite architecture and interiors of various buildings, for example, Royal Coronation Hall and Royal Funeral Hall where historical moments occurred.

“Wat Phra Kaew” or Emerald Buddha Temple is also located in the complex. There you can learn Thai folklore through the architecture of the grand royal temple, where Buddhist notions lies within. And don’t miss the opportunity to behold the delicate artwork of Emerald Buddha image with your own eyes!

Temple of the Reclining Buddha or “Wat Pho” and Tha Thien Market are also located near the palace complex within walking distance. Enjoy shopping around this colorful local market to your heart's content. Then, continue your journey at Temple of the Reclining Buddha, classified as the highest status among the first-class royal temples. This place also has been recognized by UNESCO in its Memory of the World Programme. Most importantly, it is the birthplace of traditional Thai massage which is still taught and practiced at the temple nowadays.

Price for children ages 2-11 years applies only when sharing with 2 paying adults.
Children must be accompanied by at least an adult who purchases in same tour.
Infant seats are on request basis if informed at time of booking.
Although the Grand Palace is wheelchair accessible, the transfer vehicles cannot accommodate the wheelchairs. This tour is not for wheelchair-bound passengers.
There is strict Dress Code for visiting the Grand Palace as the Temple of the Emerald Buddha is Thailand's most sacred site. Men must wear long pants and shirts with sleeves. Sleeveless top are not allowed. If you're wearing sandals or flip-flops, you must wear socks (in other words, no bare feet.) Women must be similarly modestly dressed. See-through and bare shoulder clothes are not allowed. Dresses must be of below knee length (preferably covering the ankle), with no open-toe shoes, etc. It is also recommended to avoid bright colours.

Dress code for visit to the Grand Palace and the Emerald Buddha:
Visitors are required to dress appropriately. These following clothes are strictly not allowed as outer garments for both ladies and gentlemen:

  1. Shorts, mini-skirts, short skirts, tight fitting trousers, and tights

  2. See-through shirts and blouses, as well as culottes or quarter length trousers

  3. Sleeveless shirts or vests

  4. Rolled-up-sleeved shirts
