Taipei is the capital city of Taiwan. It ranks as the first largest city in the country. According to the 2018 census, it has a total population of over 2.6 million people. Also known as Taipei City, it lies on the north of Taiwan Island. Taipei is serving as the centre of economic, education and political of Taiwan. This city is famous for its iconic landmark, which is the Taipei 101 tower. It is the fifth tallest building in the world. Taipei is also rich in cultural heritage and beautiful temples. Taipei will face its peak season during the summer season from May to September and during the festive seasons. Whereas, the off-peak season happens during the Ghost Month and winter season (November to January). Taoyuan International Airport (TPE) - Taoyuan International Airport is one of the international airports that operate for Taipei and northern area of Taiwan. It has the best size airport in the Asia-Pacific region. It is the hub of Uni Air and LCC Tigerair Taiwan. This airport has two passenger terminals. This airport handles a lot of international and domestic flights. Among the airlines are Cebu Pacific, AirAsia, Air China, China Airlines, EVA Air, Jeju Air, Philippines Airlines, Scoot and many more. It also handles plenty of cargo airlines including Cathay Pacific Cargo, EVA Air Cargo, FedEx Express and UPS Airlines. This airport is situated about 47.8 kilometres from the city centre. By taking a taxi, the fare will be around TWD 1200, which is about PHP 1999.23.
The climate in Cebu is tropical while Taipei’s climate is humid subtropical. Taipei will be experiencing hot and humid summer as well as the winters are short and dry. Summer season is not a perfect time to travel around this city because rainfall usually happens even though the weather is sunny. As for the winter season, the visitors unable to do a lot of sightseeing and outdoor activities due to cold weather.
