Currently, Mactan-Cebu International Airport is served by about 25 domestic and international carriers including Pan Pacific Airlines, Cebu Pacific and Royal Air Philippines. This airport has two terminals, each to cater for domestic and international flights respectively. Passengers can travel to and from the airport via local transportation services available at the airport.


Narita International Airport – Narita International Airport is one of the primary airports serving the Greater Tokyo. This airport is the second busiest airport in Japan and can handle up to 43 million passengers annually. Approximately 80 airlines are operating in Narita Airport at the moment such as All Nippon Airways, Japan Airlines, Jetstar Japan, Cebu Pacific and Philippine Airlines. All domestic and international passengers are catered within the three terminals in Narita Airport. Visitors need to be informed that this airport does not operate 24 hours as part of their policy in minimising the noise pollution. To reach the city centre, passengers can take either JR trains, Keisei trains, bus or taxi services from the airport terminals.


Climate pattern in Cebu and Tokyo

Tokyo experiences a distinct four seasons. Summer is hot and humid with temperature ranging between 22 to 26 degrees centigrade. Hottest day in summer can reach temperature up to 31 degrees centigrade. The rainy season also happens during summer and continues to be heavier in the autumn season. Typhoons are also frequent in autumn. Cold and dry weather can be expected during the winter season, with a probability of a short duration of snowfall.

  • Tokyo Imperial Palace – Tokyo Imperial Palace, or Kokyo in Japanese, is the current residence of the Japanese Imperial Family. The palace was built in replacement of the capital city from Kyoto to Tokyo in the year 1888. As part of the palace security, there is limited access to the grounds visitors are allowed to tour in. Visitors can tour around Kokyo Plaza to see the connecting bridge to the inner palace, as well as the beautiful palace gardens. Visitors can get the chance to explore the inner palace grounds only during the New Year’s Greeting on 2nd January and Emperor’s Birthday on 23rd February. The inner palace grounds are closed to the public for the rest of the year. Visitors have the option to take a guided tour to learn more about the palace grounds which is available every day except Sundays and Mondays.
  • Ueno Park – Ueno Park is one of the most popular parks in Tokyo. Situated next to Ueno Station, the park was originally part of Kaneiji Temple dated from Edo period which later was demolished during the Meiji governance. The remains of the historical Kaneiji Temple that can be seen today are the Shinobazu Pond and temple hall Bentendo. Within the park, there are also various museums that visitors can visit, such as the Tokyo National Museum, Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum and National Museum for Western Art. If you are travelling with family or friends, you can also visit the Ueno Zoo. Ueno Park is also very crowded during the spring season for its spectacular scenery of cherry blossom trees.
  • Odaiba – Odaiba is the perfect one-stop-centre for visitors who wants to spend an entire day filled with entertainment. Odaiba is situated on a manmade island in Tokyo Bay and famous for its buildings with futuristic and one-of-a-kind architecture. If the United States is too far to travel, you can get the chance to take a picture with the Statue of Liberty replica here. Visitors should also not miss the major landmarks such as the giant-sized Gundam robot, one of the largest Ferris wheel in the world, and the Rainbow Bridge view at night. You can also shop and dine at the Decks Tokyo Beach, Aquacity Odaiba and Venus Fort.
