Mövenpick Hotel Melbourne On Spencer

Very convenient locadtion. The staff were all very friendly. Our plane arrived late, so we arrived at hotle after midnight and was buzzed into the hotel lobby. Room and in-room amenities were as expected having stayed previously at the hotel. Unfortunately we had a problem with our airconditioning unit and noise level sadly was disruptive. We joined the Movenpick Hour but I was a little disappointed with the offerings as tiny cakes, tarts and chocolates were left on a bench with some plates. No staff stayed around, but there were no hot chocolate or any other drinks on offer. We didn't get an opportunity to use any of the other facilities this stay. In my previous stay, I did use the pool and sauna facilities, they were all kept clean and public facilities were generally well maintained.

Enjoyed a very comfortable stay and this hotel. Rooms were spotless and quiet with nice amenities and a great bed and pillows. Check in was welcoming and efficient as was check out. Area around hotel is safe. Staff were very courteous. Breakfast is available for an additional charge - standard Accor style options. Hotel is situated directly across from Southern Cross train and bus station that has shopping options and access to transport throughout the state and a train to Sydney. The bus to and from the airport is also located there. A free tram service is available at the front door that will deliver you to the CBD for great shopping and dining options with minutes or a a 10-15 minute downhill walk. Marvel stadium that hosts AFL games and concerts is a 5 minute walk. Recommend for convenience and location.

Staff helped with late check-out, much appreciated

Room was clean although house keeping was sometimes done late in the afternoon. Pool and soa superb, although rinse off area needs showers cleaned as mould has developed on shower heads. Staff were polite and courteous. A few disruptions outside due to people disrupting the peace

All of the staff were very friendly and courteous. The rooms were absolutely spotless and so was the pool and sauna area. In a great location too. Would most definitely recommend.

The concierge staff were great. The pool was awesome to swim in.

Staff very friendly. Pool was lovely. Close proximity to transport etc. however can be a little noisy due to location. Rooms very clean. Great when travelling with kids. Free ice cream cup a hit!

I'll start with the negatives as there aren't many. The lobby was underwhelming and smelt like a sewer. The receptionist, although lovely asked me the same questions twice (every question) because she wasn't taking my answers in. The chocolate hour was also underwhelming with bits of gateaux that my daughter wasn't interested in. Now the positives, the family suite was so big, clean and really impressive. The bed was so comfy and there are robes and slippers and nice tea/coffee. Lots of toiletries including dental kit, comb, cotton pads, shaving kits. The pool is a highlight. It's really big, as is the spa and it wasn't busy at all. It's indoors but the walls are open glass panels on an angle so it's full of fresh air. We asked for an early check in and late check out and that wasn't a problem! The best part was happy hour at the bar which although didn't look great during the day was awesome. The barman made my daughter a great mocktail and the sparkling wine was delicious. The cosmos were the best i've ever had and then dinner at Miss Mi...best meal of our lives. Great kids menu and for a chefs hat restaurant, it was very family friendly. To not have to leave the hotel and have this experience was such a treat. Also the pool is open to 10pm if you want a swim afterwards.

Great location , helpful knowledgeable courteous staff - cool pool and sauna area all within easy reach of the city - ideally located for easy commute from the airport - chocolate hour is a nice touch

This is my second time staying with Mövenpick and the staff has been absolutely amazing! Facilities are top notch and I surely enjoy their pool, spa and sauna! If you are a chocolate lover, you’ll also enjoy the chocolate hour 😊
