Restaurant and bar were overpriced

The bathroom was not clean at all.

Quiet and clean. All staff went out of their way to make our stay nice. Nice scent/aroma as you walk through the lobby and out of your room to the lifts. Would recommend and come back again.

I found the staff unhelpful and not very obliging at all

The room was clean showing its age abit but nothing to complain about But the staff more than compensated for it

The staff were helpful, knowledgeable and were able to upgrade the room as I preferred a higher floor, quiet location. I was able to have a later checkout (for a fee) but this allowed us more time at the beach. Location is excellent, close to beach and amenities. However, the property is date. The guest room decor, especially washrooms, carpets are old and the room had a musty odour, likely due to proximity to ocean- I recommend a scented diffused for the room, I recommend new carpeting or better a hard flooring and update to washroom. Otherwise, great. Pool area also crowded and some people leave things around pool, on chairs for hours but are not even there, therefore hard to get a seat at the pool- there should be rules about reserving seats and if not there 1 hour, seat should be vacated for someone else to use.

We had a very nice stay. Cannot fault the hotel or facilities.

We arrived to check in at 3pm. At 3.30pm we were advised by the manager on duty our room would be another 40 minutes. We were offered a different room and when our room was available we could move again. We took the other room so we didn’t waste more time moving. We were offered free breakfast to compensate the price difference. When we went to get breakfast the next morning, the lady said that’s $98 you don’t have breakfast included. The whole experience was embarrassing

The hotel said it is 5 star but in fact it wasn't , the hotel was to old to 5 star for me I give them 2 stars also there were 4 left only 2 of them go to basment so if I want to go to basment many time the left which has no basment access arrive that why we had to wait so long time to get the right left. The pool wasn't clean and when we arrived we had to wait so long time to get our room after they change the room from floor 20 to floor 12 also they said the park is free but when arrived the said no it's not you have to pay around 500$ wich is too much even though if wasn't included othere hotel next door, merton for instance they only charge 15 per day while sofitle charged 49$ per day. Overall the hotel doesn't deserve all the money that I paid, rating for sofitle hotel wasn't right.
