The view from our window is the best part of this hotel, so everything feels great during our stay. Transportation, groceries, and food are nearby. Luna's Park and the walk to Lavender Bay was great. Enjoyed the stay very much.

Overall, the hotel was wonderful and had incredible views of the harbor. It was nicely located. The only thing we did not like was that it was very close to the train tracks and you could hear the trains going by well into the night so a room higher up is recommended, ours was on a lower floor so the trains were quite loud.

The staff were excellent. I ended up having to arrive into Sydney a day late and they held my room for mr so that I could check-in the morning of my arrival. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and tasty. The food seasoned well and hot and fresh even though I didn't go until an hour before it was over. There were a lot of restaurants and even a couple grocery stores very close to the hotel. The views from my 3rd floor window were amazing. I had a harbor side room. The shower was hot and strong and the towels were fluffy and large.

Soooo bad! First, housekeeping made up my bed DIRTY. Then, the bottle of wine promised on my reservation…disappeared. They didn’t restock the coffee or towels, so after TWO DAYS of dirty sheets, I finally complained. They promised “something would be done to make up for the inconvenience” nothing was done- sheets were changed, and they brought me a towel- but still no coffee, and no replenishment of sodas and water in the minibar. The breakfast buffet was cold, and not being turned properly. Room service is prompt, but the burger was overcooked and inedible. I gave up and ordered DoorDash. THE WORST PART: My jewelry boxes were stolen, and the hotel’s response was so lukewarm, that clearly this is a common occurrence. I had JUST checked out, and immediately alerted the hotel that my jewelry boxes had been left, along with some clothes in the closet. I was ignored. I had to be persistent to get a response AT ALL. First, I was told there was nothing listed on the housekeeping log, then, I was told they were checking to see if my items were in a “secure location” that mgmt didn’t know about. Then, when I let them know I was filing a complaint with Sydney police, they “found” my clothing, but not the jewelry. They still haven’t returned my clothing. Worst hotel experience ever!!!

Pros: Very good buffet breakfast, excellent choice of fresh juices, freshly cooked poached eggs, freshly baked bread, excellent cooked breakfast. Very comfy bed, nice big pillows. We were in Room 309, with unobstructed view of the bridge. Nice size bedroom. Fluffy towels. Easy walking distance to Sydney North Train station (easy access to Circular Quay). Also easy walking distance to excellent coffee from Leible Coffee - which was a bonus for us. Good access (walking down steps - lots of them) to Lavender Bay and the Secret Garden. Excellent viewpoint of the bridge with the marina in the foreground. Assistant hotel manager Daniel was most understanding. After an early flight from London (via Singapore) we were able to check in well ahead of the normal room checkin time. Cons: Hotel was built in 1970s and sits over a railway tunnel portal. One can hear the train coming in/out of the tunnel even at the hotel reception. Even with double glazed windows, we could hear low rumbling train noises at night. Train starts at about 4.30am when the rumbling noise would start again. We stayed 2 nites but slept well despite the low rumbling noise. Decor a bit tired, carpets a bit worn in public areas.

My view was absolutely gorgeous. I ended up being sick my first two days and spent more room time than normal. The desk associate warned me about the train noise, but it didn’t bother me a bit. I actually liked it. I had a very early flight arrival and thought the very exhausted me was going to have to dump my luggage and wait until the afternoon to check in. They allowed me to check in immediately, letting me get a shower and relax early. So kind of them to think of guests and let them check in when rooms are available. The restaurant was delicious and convenient on a night I just wanted a light meal. All my encounters with staff were exceptional. My only complaint was the sidewalk along the drive was incredibly slick when I arrived (it was raining). I walked on the drive and that was fine, but I almost tumbled with my luggage. I’d certainly stay there again!
