Pension Stadthalle

Room was generally clean although there was an empty condom wrapper and two hankies down the side of the bed. The room was at the entrance to the Pension so people coming and going at all times of the day - I wore earplugs and it was fine. Pod style shower room might not be to everyone’s taste but if you are efficient it is not a problem. The check in Registration sheet was in German so if that is not your first language then you might need some help. Other than that, it was exceptional value.

We stayed in the Pension, not in the main hotel. Room was perfect for our needs. Staff in the hotel were excellent. We had the breakfast at the hotel on one morning. Fabulous choice of healthy options. Very convenient short walk to the underground.

It was just overnight sleep for business trip but was to have a comfortable sleep. I was happy to find hotel to be able to stay with my dog.

This was an overnight stay in Vienna, so this room was ideal. It was clean and served its purpose very well. At the time it was very hot in Vienna, the room had a fan which was great so we could sleep properly.

The staff were helpful and nice however the property is quite limited, with a separate building for reception, no kettle or toiletries, and the tv wasn't a smart tv, also, though it was lovely that they stored pur luggage, it seemed unprotected and overly casual no tags were assigned, nothing but a key to a room given to me to come amd go from the luggage room as i please.

It was said at the booking that there is parking It was one of my priorities. They gave me a plate for fee for the night and I had to park my car on the steeet. In the morning I found my car with a fully broken right rear-view mirror. Nobody helped me they suggested to report it to the police The policemsn said it is "normal" In my opinoin it is absolutely not. Who eill oay for my damage?

The staff were so friendly and helpful and able to answer any questions I had. The hotel itself was simple and clean and easy walking distance (5mins) to tram stops and train/underground station. Would definitely stay again.

I stayed at the pension which is a 1 minute walk from the main hotel. It is inexpensive, very clean and secure for both the building and my room. The neighborhood is in safe area and very convenient to public transportation (5-8 minute walk). Everything was excellent

I expected this property to be 3 star but unfortunately its only 2 stars. Bathroom water clogged which was bit annoying. Location was walking distance to west train station which was convenient. Overall ok hotel

The room is clean and hygienic. The check in is a bit complicated but still manageable, as you would need to walk a few street blocks to get to check in counter.

Fantastic place to stay for solo travellers on a budget. Albeit small, the room was clean and quiet. The internet worked just fine, the room/building felt safe, the location was super close to everything and the staff was friendly. I highly recommend this place. Great value for the price.

Great service and facilities

I admit I was positively surprised with the overall quality of the pensione. It was clean, check-in was fast and polite, and the location is very convenient, located just some 5 mins walk from an underground stop on line U3.It is good value for money.

Stayed for 3 nights in room 8 Pension Stadhalle seems to be former apartments converted into hotel rooms. The bathroom looked like one of those cabins you see on a ship. The shower was separated from the rest of the bathroom with a curtain. I could not move without touching the shower curtain, but everything worked fine. The room came two singles placed together. There’s a gap in the middle which made sleeping there impossible. In any case, the duvet was for a single and there was only one pillow anyway, but it really begs the question why there’s a double bed in the first place. All the toiletries were provided except soap and shampoo. Okay those miniature bottles aren’t eco friendly, surely dispensers for liquid soap or shampoo can be provided. Even some hostels do that. The room didn’t have much in the way of amenities either, no coffee, tea, kettle; normal things provided hotels in this sector of the market. I’ve stayed in Vienna before and pretty sure these are provided as standard in hotel rooms. The cleaning staff did a fine job of cleaning the room and bathroom every day, so kudos for that. Location wise, the hotel is not in the tourist district, but the hotel is close to several tram or metro stations, and then only a short journey into the centre. There’s several supermarkets, restaurants and cafes close by. Overall, I had a satisfactory stay, the staff were great, but I really do think that the hotel should rethinks the bed and amenities in the room.
