If there is 0 star, I will give it a 0! We had a terrible stay at this hotel! Both rooms we booked were so smelly and noisy that it was almost impossible to breathe or sleep. We requested to change rooms, but the receptionist said the hotel was fully booked. However, the next morning when we decided to check out early (as we had booked two nights), the staff suddenly told us, “Why didn't you change rooms for the second night?” Obviously, they lied to us from the beginning. We then requested a refund for the 2nd night only which we would not be able to stay for another torture, but they refused, saying it was a non-refundable booking. However, this clause only applies when guests cancel for personal reasons, not when the room conditions are so terrible that it’s simply unfit for anyone to stay. We are extremely angry and disappointed by this experience. The way the staff handled the situation was completely unacceptable, and I hope this feedback warns other travelers to think twice before booking this hotel. Personally, I will never stay at this property—or any hotel from this chain—again！！！Never!!!

My bed was clean however the bathroom could do with a thorough clean. The shower tray wasn’t clean, the toilet, bathroom floor and walls all showed lack of proper cleaning attention. The lifts were dirty. The carpets in the corridors from the lift all the way to my room looked like they had not been vacuumed cleaned in a while. There was crumbs and stains in several places.

great stopover

Nice hotel, lovely staff. I was charged again on arrival but it was quickly amended and reimbursed once I realised I had paid through Hotel.com. Room was spacious and clean, shower was great. Downside was that the aircon was not working and the room was too hot, being over the garage downstairs it was too noisy with the window open, so baked in the room all night. No drink making facilities in the rooms but there is a very pleasant bar and restaurant downstairs.

DO NOT STAY HERE. 31 degrees outside hotter inside with no air conditioning even though they advertised they had it. Staff changed our room once but the whole system was shut down. Staff said they would talk to the manager about it but nothing changed. Three days as hot as hell. Also our TV didnt work. Staff said they would tell the manager. Nothing was done. We had no TV for 3 days. Never going to an Ibis again.

The room was clean and nice. Staff was polite and helpful. Loved having bar and restaurant on site. Good, quiet location.

arrived at 2 in the morning but the person at the desk hardly said a word to us, could be down to the early hours Car park is there but have to pay for it rooms are very good and we had four in ours, clean and spacious

One night stay at Aalst as fitted very nicely within the overall trip plan.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Restaurant was excellent. Air conditioning in the rooms was not working properly when we were there and it was hot. Lobby is a wonderful place to hang out and read, have a coffee, etc. Staff provided us a fan and partial refund.

Air conditioner was broken and they gave us a fan. it was really hot and apart from that i have no complaints it was a good stay.

No hot/warm drinking water, no cups in the room. We need to ask for hot/warm water from receptionist. We cannot borrow a water boiler either. Only one set of towels for 2 travellers.

We really enjoyed our stay at IBIS! The staff was very helpful. The only thing if you are planning on riding buses it’s not easy from this location.

We stayed there 15 nights and enjoyed it. It is not a pretentious hotel but it lives up to it's 3 star standard. Rooms clean and comfortable. Staff eager to please and quite friendly. Bar and eatery open 24 hours. Minimalist and nice decor. House keeping every day and calm and sympathetic atmosphere. We will be back.

'Double room' consisted of two single beds pushed together - and not even held together with brackets or clamps - so I kept falling into the gap which opened up in the middle. Invest in real double beds or at least some brackets / clamps!!! Other than an uncomfortable bed, the hotel is fine!
