Good facilities and close to the beach, bars and some restaurants

This hotel does not look like the pictures on the website. The room had significant wear and tear and showed signs of deferred maintenance. There were holes in the wall, the carpet in the living area was heavily soiled, pieces of the chairs and table were chipped off, the towels and pillowcases were rough and stained, the ceiling on the covered balcony was falling down, there was mildew in the shower and sink, rust was running down the wall in the bathroom, the toilet seat was too small for the bowl, and the pool that we paid extra for was unusable as it did not have enough water in it. We left a day early and went to stay at Janeiro Hotel, which was absolutely wonderful. Lifestyle Laghetto is not a 4 star experience. This is more like a motel, with very basic and not very great amenities. The gym was so bad that we went a couple of blocks over and got a week pass at BodyTech, a local gym with classes and space to exercise. They had three Nespresso machines at breakfast that were constantly out of order. Breakfast consisted of a lot of cakes and sweets. A better breakfast option is La Bicyclette or Bibi Sucos, both within walking distance. The staff was nice but need hospitality training. Again, nothing about this hotel is 4 stars. Maybe 3 given its location. I don't recommend this hotel and think there are cleaner, better taken care of properties in Rio.

Staff is lovely and they do their best to maintain the place well, but that's hard to do when the initial builders cut so many corners. Hot water cuts out, dining room isn't quite big enough for the number of guests, light switches are a mystery, poorly assembled and/or cheap furniture, etc. As wonderful as the staff has been, the hotel needs to address some major quality issues, especially when it has so much potential with its location. Could easily be 5-star with some work.

Overall the hotel staff made all the difference. Hotel location is fantastic. Front Office agents Vinicius, Leonardo and Caio were excellent, professional and welcomed us every time we needed anything. Rogério our Bellman was also great and our housekeeping lady Lilian was the best, attentive and friendly from the first moment we met, making us feel at home. The property needs lots of TLC, our room’s balcony sliding door glass was cracked and the wall paper in the bathroom needs attention, it’s pealing from the wall. All metal parts of the room is rusty. The breakfast was great, standard food selection, the person at the omelette station was very pleasant, the waiters were rushed to remove plates from our table. One recommendation to the F&B team is to hire restaurant hosts to welcome guests arriving for breakfast so they could distribute the work load better. Nespresso coffee machines were faulty and required attention every morning. Most of the time, not working properly.

Very clean, the staff were great.

This is a great hotel it is modern and clean. The breakfast is amazing so much to choose from. The rooms are a good size. I had the partial sea view and it was a great view. The shower was hot and the bathroom was clean. The hotel is further out from the centre of Rio but if you want to be more chilled then this is good and you can easily get an Uber. The staff were very helpful. The location across from the beach is perfect and there are restaurants to walk to.

Good hotel and nice team

I had a great stay at Laghetto. Being across the beach and having complimentary beach chairs and umbrella in a safe area is a huge bonus. Ubers are super affordable in Rio and had no issues getting around the city. The breakfast buffet was absolutely amazing and I would come back just for that. Will say though, the facilities do need a little upkeep. Could tell the cleaning in my room was not the best and some of the shelving needed fixing and walls needed repainting. I noticed a bit of mold around the shower. l Overall would give the stay a 7.5/10.

The staff are extremely friendly and speak English and Spanish. However, my room was not cleaned everyday and the last guest's food was left in the refrigerator. The ac never worked, pillows were terrible and outside noise kept me awake all night long. No soundproof windows. But a beautiful location with good restaurants below hotel.
