Golden Butterfly Villa is a gem. Staying here is worth every penny. We got our room at less than $20 a night for two persons. In it we had, free airport pick-up,free breakfast, free massage for two and free use of bike. Cheap right? Location is also very strategic as it is stone's throw away from Pub street, Night market, restos and city center. The best selling point is the staffs. They are very helpful and accommodating especially Mr. Bin who always wears his smile.

Staff welcoming was excellent, 26th drink, dried bananas but also annotated map & common phrases words to know. No lift, but I was able to be on 1st floor instead of 3rd. Navin, part of reception was excellent.

The kindness and hospitality of this hotel was outstanding! The staff went above and beyond to make sure I had the most incredible stay which they seem to do for everyone! Special shout out and thanks to March, Navin, Savath, Oudom and Sreyorn. Also the cleaning team are great! My room was very nice and clean, and had a very comfortable bed. My check in was late due to my flight being delayed, and Savath and Oudom were so welcoming. March and Navin were very helpful looking after my bags after I checked out as my bus was leaving later that evening. So, so kind. Also the location is excellent! Walkable to all the markets and to other areas like Wat Bo etc. If I could give this hotel more stars I would.

Very nice hotel, more in the traditional style rather than an Ibis. There is a school near by that makes some noise at 7am, but wasn't an issue for me, just something to consider

Rooms were spacious and clean. The hotel is located in a great spot - close to many nice restaurants and shopping. The hotel staff were nice and helpful. They apologized in advance about the school besides the hotel- which can be loud at times during the day, but it was bearable. I would stay here again!

I love The Golden Butterfly. I've stayed there twice now, both for extended periods. The staff is wonderful. They feel like family now, and they go out of their way to make sure that one's stay is pleasurable. The hotel is charming. It has an old-world feel that I find to be quite pleasing. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the location is terrific. All of the city charms of Siem Reap are virtually at your doorstep, but it's tucked away from the hustle and bustle. The elementary school nearby can get a little cacophonous (the kids are beautiful, but they're kids). This last time I requested a room on the opposite side of the building, which they were happy to provide, away from the school, and it was great. Nice and quiet. If and when I return to Siem Reap I will not hesitate to stay once more at the Golden Butterfly. It feels like home.
