A quaint hideaway. I feel like I stepped back into the 1960s, but in a good way! So charming and quiet.

I have a long history with the Beach Grove Motel. I have stayed here 15-16 times over the last 20 years. My reason for coming here is that the motel is just across the road from Boundary Bay Regional Park and Centennial Beach. A low tide event on Boundary Bay is something very special. You can walk barefoot 2 km out into the bay. Perhaps as far as the Point Roberts border marker. If you are a fussy person, who gets upset by this or that, stay somewhere else. Though there is not much choice in South Delta. The motel is cheap and cheerful. I will be back in the summer. For another low tide event. Thanks so much to the staff for keeping the motel going!

Our first time. Stayed for one night to catch an early ferry. Reception was easy and the lady there was very pleasant and helpful. The property is dated and needs some basic repairs and upgrades. The room was very dated with some upgrades and mismatched, old furniture but the bed was comfortable, and the linens, floors, kitchen and bathroom were clean. The motel does not have concrete separating the rooms so we could hear the people upstairs walking around. The parking spot for our room was a bit tight for our mid-sized car, directly behind the reception area, but the larger part of the lot had lots of room and a truck would be fine to maneuver around. The motel is about a block from the beach/park access, so we enjoyed a short evening stroll. The area felt safe to walk and it was quiet once the traffic died down. We really appreciated the welcome email from the Motel outlining the amenities and attractions in the area. Yes, we would stay here again mostly because of the convenient location, the price and the lovely staff.

I was commenting elsewhere how expensive it is to stay in Vancouver, particularly in the summertime. The Beach Grove is the exception, still providing good value. It's an old school motel, in a nice location, with good service. It's a little rough around the edges, but I can live with that.

Updates need to be done. Kitchen cabinets were falling apart, electrical outlets missing cover plates, light fixtures broken, floor under toilet sloped to side so much that seat would slide off the side of the bowl. This dump needs to be gutted and rebuilt.

Definitely an older Hotel from the past… very quiet and was able to get a decent sleep before work start at 5 am . Staff was very friendly and helpful… For the price of $129 for the night definitely cheaper, but don’t expect the Ritz Hotel… I would definitely stay another night if in a pinch for a room for the night

The walkway to the office entrance is wood planking with much of the paint peeling off. The Room was shabby with unpainted patches in areas such as the door jambs. The door between the 2 rooms would not close,. the room above mine was occupied and the occupants walking around till midnight was not muffled and very disruptive . I was charged $100 for a damage deposit. I left at 8am in the morning, the office does not open until 9 am and I have heard nothing more about the $100. Take a guess as to the ethnicity of management!!

This is one of the cheapest places to stay in the Greater Vancouver area. So expectations should not be high. The place is clean but badly in need of renovations and repairs. The ceiling in our room SPRANG A LEAK and dripped all over the floor before we discovered the problem at midnight. After hours, no staff at the desk to report the problem. So drip drip drip all night into a garbage pail to catch the leak. Previous leak repairs are obvious on the ceiling. This place desperately needs a reno. It’s safe and clean, but buyer beware.

We needed a room for the ferry the next day. The reviews indicated this property was very good. Well, the location was good, but the room was needing some care, especially the washroom that had peeling baseboards and other appearance issues. A cleaner had just finished cleaning before we walked into the room, and the room smelled & looked clean, but the appearance overall was old and very “well-used”. When I went into the bathroom, there was a light brown bug that was almost an inch long & dead in the corner by the bathtub. Not the experience we were expecting. The reception staff was good, however I would look at another location to stay in the future unless upgrades are done.
