Emerald Lake Lodge was excellent, you cannot beat the location. The property was very well maintained, kept clean and accessible. Improvements: the pillows weren't very comfortable, too flat, and having lunch at Cilantro on the Lake and not being able to get coffee! Coffee should be served at all dining establishments :)

Overall, a wonderful place to stay! Our room was spacious with a fireplace and a balcony overlooking Emerald Lake. The only hiccup was waiting over 30 minutes for the shuttle to take us and our luggage back to our car (since there are no cars on the property, every overnight guest parks in a designated lot about 1km away).

Wish the deck wasn't rotting and that our view of the lake wasn't blocked by a bunch of trees/limbs. The photo showed rooms on the lake to have a nice view of it we could barely see any of it with all of the trees in the way. Staff was very friendly and helpful though

30 years ago I proposed to my wife while staying at Emerald Lake Lodge. Back then it was a new pristine facility on a beautiful lake. Magical. Fast forward to today and it has become a weathered relic. Overrun by day visitors and not maintained to the level of its early days. The staff are magical and the food excellent. But the owners are coasting on the facility’s past reputation.

The overall location and resort are obviously fantastic, but the lodges both inside and out are somewhat tired. Chipped paintwork, dull scuffed walls, grubby sofa, carpets that look like they need a good clean or thrown away, all just a bit tatty. Our bathroom did look as if it had been upgraded as ours was excellent. The outside door to our lodge had a panel loose, didn’t shut properly (not ideal in bear country!). The grounds really needed a bit of tidying up, and the fire pit was a health hazard with broken paving and missing block work. The public rooms, ie reception, bar and restaurant were all of a good standard, the menu was nice but you do pay a premium for the privilege of eating there. Overall we loved our time here but felt the lodges let it down, ours was quaint inside but shabby (and not in a planned shabby chic way!). The staff were all young, enthusiastic and friendly.

Very clean room, beautiful lake view from our balcony and restaurant dinning was excellent. We used firewood already provided inside the fireplace and we just lighted it and it was perfect. We used fireplace for two nights straight. The maids set up the wood for us in the fireplace every day. Wow !!! Thank you, maids, for a truly excellent job. Definitely we will return. Highly recommended. The staff were so great and very knowledgeable. The servers were so friendly. We were so pleased. Thank you for great many memories.

Lodge is located in a beautiful location on Emerald Lake. Staff is very good and on site restaurant was highly quality. Now for the downside: it’s remote and guests must take shuttle from parking to lodge. The “cabin” was clean but in a 4-unit shared older building with very thin walls between rooms. There are no services (TV, wi-fi, or cell) except in main lodge. The only food service is from the lodge as nearest town (Fields) is 6 miles and has no restaurants. So, if you are looking to stay in an isolated location to completely disconnect, and don’t mind a “camp-like” setting, this is for you. The lake views are exceptional.
