Clean room, great staff. Good location close to airport

Great hotel in Thunder Bay. Clean, comfortable, well maintained. Safe surroundings. Convenient to the airport. Have stayed here previously and would stay again.

I will never stay at another Home2 Suites again. I had a good experience with them in Idaho Falls last summer, but this place in Thunder Bay, Ontario was a complete disaster. I reserved a room in March, 2026 for $223 for one night. When I got to the hotel June 4th, I was informed my room had been given away 15 minutes before I got there because of a credit card problem. They had called me as I was crossing the border into Canada and the call did not go there, but instead to voice. I had no cell service in that area, so I never saw the message until after they had me look for it later. Worse, no more rooms available at 4:30 pm. They did help me find another hotel for $450 a night and that was their last room. So, with the town’s hotels mostly booked, I had no choice but to pay $227 more for one night’s sleep. No idea why my credit card was a problem when the same card reserved rooms on the same trip to Canada through Hotels.com with no incidents.

Poor communication for our room was only contacted by email , they didn’t call about my reservation. Room was unavailable upon arrival. I cannot answer emails while driving on a trip why wasn’t I notified with a phone call it’s 2026 ?

Loved it. Great space

It was nice to see that the food for the complimentary breakfast was rotated daily. They had coffee available all day long, which was great. The room was decent size. Some negatives are there is no hot tub. They say they clean rooms every other day but we were there for 5 nights and they only cleaned our room after I mentioned it to them.

Very pleasant stay at the hotel.

It would be nice if the hotel staff knew the code to input on the car charger at the property to charge my Tesla, but instead I had to drive to the Tesla charger offsite to charge it. Also, the road to get to the hotel was not the best, that alone I would stay elsewhere (that needs fixing)…

I was very pleasantly surprised by my stay at the Hilton. Bright, clean and incredibly professional and kind staff. The daily breakfast was fresh and a nice selection of toast, eggs, yogurt, cereals, juices l, teas and coffees. Lots nearby to walk to to grab a coffee or a few groceries. The pool is small but good enough for the kids. The gym has a great selection of cardio equipment and some weights. Would definitely recommend.

The staff was friendly but not really that helpful, there were somethings that should’ve went smoothly but didn’t. But we had a wonderful stay.

The breakfast sandwiches could have been warmer otherwise the selection was good.

The property was well looked after and clean. The staff was friendly and very attentive. The rooms were well stocked and clean. My only concern was I was unable to close the blackout blind and had the hotel sign shining into the room all night. Otherwise a lovely stay.

The space in our room was comfortable and surprising. Huge fridge & freezer. Dishwasher. All the plates, cups etc that we needed. So clean! So much room! The free breakfast was incredible! The beds were too hard for my liking but other than that, amazing stay!

This hotel was one of the nicest places we've stayed at and we've stayed at many hotels. Very clean room, spacious. The breakfast was good too.Will be back.
