Hotel Willo (formerly YWCA Hotel Vancouver)

I only booked because of cost and found I was so close to so many sights and shopping. Will stay here again. The rooms are so clean and the rooftop deck is amazing.

Great place. Definitely a very small room. Only challenge was all of our luggage for our cruise in such a small space felt a little overwhelming but it met our needs and was a fabulous location! Clean and staff were nice. Coffee bar was awesome, would like if it was open til mid afternoon

The hotel was clean and in a perfect location for us. There are plenty of food options and activities in the area. The hotel features three full kitchens for those who prefer to prepare their own meals. Additionally, there is a fantastic lounge on the top floor where you can enjoy a view of the stadium, people-watch, or simply relax as a couple while reading and enjoying some quiet time.

Very comfortable and affordable stay in the center of downtown! Would def go back

Great hotel, beautiful view; very close to everything

We really loved Hotel Willo. We live in Metro Vancouver and were in town for a 5-day festival at the QE. Staff were fabulous, rooms lovely, the convenience of a real kitchen, laundry room, etc. However, like all of Vancouver, the place is grossly overpriced. We chose it due to proximity to the festival venue, because it had the extra amenities and is a social enterprise establishment. I can feel better about paying them for 4 nights than at a commercial establishment. But was a decent-sized room with 2 beds and a private bathroom worth nearly $500 per night? Absolutely not! I know that the hotel supports all kinds of social amenities and training programs in the community. I just don't see how ripping off travellers, the way a commercial establishment does, contributes to the health of the community. This is from their website: "Booking a hotel in Downtown Vancouver near BC Place shouldn’t mean choosing between loud luxury and lifeless budget stays. Hotel Willo, a community-driven social enterprise hotel, is redefining the middle — not as a compromise, but as the smartest choice." If Hotel Willo is the 'middle', we are in so much trouble.

Such a great location to watch a sport venue that we attended. Highly recommend.

Property was great. Fantastic location, close to everything I needed. The staff were all so bubbly and friendly, eager to help. I loved the communal kitchen, was a great way to meet others. Very happy with my stay.

As described - Simple rooms but spotless/super clean. Crisp, clean, and comfortable bed, 10/10.

Great property and price point for Vancouver. Only downside is the shared bathroom, but this is made clear in the listing.

Our stay at this hotel was good, no complaints! The property was clean, and the staff were friendly. We had a room that had a shared bathroom- it wasn’t the most ideal. However, we made it work and figured out how to lock it (for extra security once in the bathroom). Overall, a good hotel, and relatively local to downtown Vancouver!

So the was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The issue is it’s was $360 for a room that I can barely turn around in. Also, the gym was not open when I woke up at 6am to go use it. Every hotels gym is 24 hours.

Switching to mild-scent personal hygiene products. Great stay overall.

Overall pretty clean, the room didn’t have tissues which would’ve been nice to have. Shared bathroom was generally pretty clean, wasn’t ever in use so you weren’t waiting to use it which was nice. Overall I think it was overpriced given that we didn’t have access to our own private bathroom.

Close to many places to visit ! Clean , comfortable and friendly staff

This hotel is decent. Our only complaint is that it is way too expensive. The amenities do not justify the price that we paid. There are no tissue boxes in the room, no coffee machine in the room, no lotion. It would be fine if you were paying $100 or $150 per night at most. We paid far more than that, unfortunately. I guess that’s just Vancouver.
