The only issue is it’s not accessible for anyone who is not able bodied. I stayed for work and put it on our list but we will have to find other places for our folks who have accessibility issues. Otherwise, it was great in many ways.

The hotel is in a great location. We walked in and there was a dominoes tournament going on in the lobby bar and a pumping DJ. It was rammed, so we were not able to have a drink. It was quite loud until 11pm. However, the music did stop right at 11pm. It is modern, clean & spacious. We asked for ice and it was brought up promptly. If you are looking for quiet & relaxing, probably not your place. If you are looking for vibrant and modern, this is for you. The annex location is perfect, so many shops & restaurants. It was difficult to know who worked for the hotel, they were not readily apparent. Though, everyone I interacted with was friendly & helpful. I would recommend this hotel.

Great location and a nicely designed hotel, let down by poor maintenance. Our aircon didn’t work and our room was above 27°C, the room was incredibly damp and the shower was fairly mouldy. Doesn’t live up to expectations set by the price point or pictures.

This 3-storey hotel is a walk-up--a problem for one of us. There are no phones in the room so communication with the (obliging) front desk meant 37 steps down and 37 up. An interesting assortment of books was in the room, though. The front door opens on an alley; not familiar to all taxis. Price high for quality. There's coffee and pastries for breakfast, but no proper restaurant. AC is noisy. Nearby Bloor Street has many eating places, but none to write home about. This hotel might suit louche and stylish itinerant graduate students with lots of money; not good for older folks.

The room was very spacious and comfortable. It was quiet. We wish we got to try the restaurant as it looked amazing but we were only there for a short time. The blinds weren't truly blackout but that's okay. When trying to leave in the morning there was a lot of dirty laundry in bags piled right over the whole landing so we had to go the opposite way to get out. We had a random extra $15 ish charge once we left that wasn't explained.

Interesting concept. Design is modern loft and the rooms have large windows an south exposure with a view of CN. Tower and some murals. Area is full of shops and restaurants and is close to arts and shopping. It is not friendly to mature folk. There is no elevator and the stairs are sketchy. No TVs no coffee maker. Bed in platform against a wall hard to get out. All communication via mobile phone.

A lovely room with a good hipster vibe. They've done a lot to make the space really inviting. The staff were incredibly helpful and warm. The amenities were great. The in-room record player was a lovely touch. The bare wall with interesting art aesthetic was great, but some walls needed a little TLC. The only downside I found was the online check-in process. It wouldn't be particularly easy for someone who doesn't have a digital-led life. It was impersonal to the point where I assumed there'd be no staff on site when I arrived. Luckily there was, and they were great, but I was also encouraged to text them if I needed anything after having text them about my check-in requests and has received no response.

The room overall was clean, but there was a giant water stain on the ceiling, one of the tiles when walking into the bathroom was chipped (and the broken piece was left off to the side), and the vinyl player didn’t work. I LOVED that the entire bathroom was a wetroom (not sure why more places doesn’t do this) and down the hall there was a place to grab our own cutlery/dishware/linens if needed. The iPad the room provided was GIGANTIC and worked wonderfully. The location was a 10/10!

What an unexpected delight! I was travelling solo and wasn’t sure exactly what to expect. It’s cozy, staff are delightful and it had the amenities I needed. The bed was comfy, the room was spotless and so quiet for sleeping—what more can you ask for? I had never even been to the neighbourhood before, as I always stay downtown. But there are so many great little places to explore and to grab a bite. I would not hesitate to stay here again!
