The annex was a great find! The rooms were clean, beds were comfortable and the room service went until 11pm which was great after coming back from seeing a late show. The staff were very kind and helpful with any questions we had. We will definitely be returning again next time we stay over in Toronto.

The ceiling in the wetroom was peeling and could do with some maintenance, but the place overall is otherwise perfect! Really handy location, spacious room equipped with all the amenities you could need, comfy bed, helpful staff.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights to catch a World Cup game. The hotel itself is nice and well kept, but it's a bit of a whacky system we weren't prepared for and given what we paid, I would stay elsewhere next time. The good: - friendly staff - clean and spacious rooms (although wee towels) - stocked minifridge - in a cute neighborhood The kinda strange: - in lieu of a TV, there's a pretty outdated ipad in the room that serves as your entertainment station. We weren't able to connect to Netflix at all and the battery died faster than it could charge. - no housekeeping unless requested with a stocked closet for you to DIY when needed - they have a cafe but it doesn't open until 8am so you can't get coffee unless you venture off property or wait until 8 None of the "strange' things are "bad" - but when I pay a premium, I hope to at least be able to get a cup of coffee when I wake up and have better functioning amenities.

No TV in room. Strangely configured. Second floor with no elevator. Left after one night of a four day prepaid stay.

It's a very nice place, and for the price is amazing. The style is super cool. The only little criticism I would have is that I never received the text to do the check in, and when I got there I had to wait for a while until the front desk person showed up. Nevertheless, it's a wicked place.

The room was very clean. The staff was so very helpful and friendly. We were very impressed with everyone working there! So personable! The bar was very nice, along with the little courtyard in the back. Great place to hang out. Loved the coffee bar. Excellent coffee drinks! Didn't really like the setup of the bed. There was no room on either side to get in or out, so you had to climb up on it to get in. Also, wasn't crazy about the bathroom. Just a small room with a toilet and shower with no sink or vanity. Other than that, everything was wonderful!!

The hotel is in a great location. We walked in and there was a dominoes tournament going on in the lobby bar and a pumping DJ. It was rammed, so we were not able to have a drink. It was quite loud until 11pm. However, the music did stop right at 11pm. It is modern, clean & spacious. We asked for ice and it was brought up promptly. If you are looking for quiet & relaxing, probably not your place. If you are looking for vibrant and modern, this is for you. The annex location is perfect, so many shops & restaurants. It was difficult to know who worked for the hotel, they were not readily apparent. Though, everyone I interacted with was friendly & helpful. I would recommend this hotel.

Great location and a nicely designed hotel, let down by poor maintenance. Our aircon didn’t work and our room was above 27°C, the room was incredibly damp and the shower was fairly mouldy. Doesn’t live up to expectations set by the price point or pictures.

This 3-storey hotel is a walk-up--a problem for one of us. There are no phones in the room so communication with the (obliging) front desk meant 37 steps down and 37 up. An interesting assortment of books was in the room, though. The front door opens on an alley; not familiar to all taxis. Price high for quality. There's coffee and pastries for breakfast, but no proper restaurant. AC is noisy. Nearby Bloor Street has many eating places, but none to write home about. This hotel might suit louche and stylish itinerant graduate students with lots of money; not good for older folks.
