There were a few hiccups, but staff was there to help and make everything better. Couldn't say enough about the the great service.

Clean room, great parkind

This is a historic establishment with all the character expected. It has all the amenities of a newer build, and is quite adequate. The restaurant serves a complimentary breakfast with the room rental and it was delicious.

The hotel had character which is why we chose it. Bed's comfy too. All in all no real complaints. However, we did get a coupon for breakfast. Breakfast for 2 came to 65$. Thats quite a bit. When coupon was applied it was still approx 35$. Not sure it was worth it. 8$ for 2 coffee is a bit much. Other than that, all was ok.

I recently stayed at the Gov’ner Inn in St. John’s and overall had a comfortable experience. The room was very clean, which is always my first priority when traveling. I especially liked the convenience of being able to park right outside the door to the room as it made unloading luggage quick and easy. One thing to note is that the room was quite warm, even with the colder weather outside. I turned down the heat, but the bathroom seemed to have its own system that I couldn’t adjust, so I kept that door closed. Even then, the room stayed hot enough that I had to run the fan on the A/C for relief. The walls are on the thinner side, so you can hear TVs and conversations from neighboring rooms. It didn’t bother me much since things quieted down after a while, but light sleepers may want to keep this in mind. On the positive side, the bed was very comfortable and came with plenty of pillows, which made for a good night’s sleep. The room was well-equipped with a fridge, microwave, coffee maker and coffee supplies that are great for anyone who likes to have snacks or drinks handy. The bathtub was another nice touch, offering the option for a soak after a long day. Staff were friendly and check-in was straightforward. The location is convenient if you’re looking to explore St. John’s, with easy access to nearby restaurants and shops. Small odor in room. Room was very wam and ac noisy. Staff were fantastic.

We came and checked in and everything was great and everything was going well I had ended up starting my period and it was unexpected so I went to the front desk and asked for some feminine products and they had no feminine products I asked about conditioner they said no conditioner and this is the first time I stayed in a hotel that didn't have conditioner or feminine products and so I went to get a shower and since 4:30 this morning until 12:30 this afternoon I had to wait for someone to fix my shower I could not shower I had no feminine products and at 20 minutes to 1 The lady from the front desk come down beaten very loudly on the door and I was in the shower and she knew I was in the shower due to the delay of everything that was happening with the shower not working and having no feminine products and she was spoke very ignorant and disrespectfully to me about how I had to leave at 1:00 after I had to wait from 4:30 to 12:30 for a shower because the shower was broken and staff couldn't fix it I guess and when I booked my room yesterday it said check in at 3:00 and check out at 4:00 And when we addressed the lady at the front desk about how we couldn't shower and it was broken and we literally would turn on the shower and the hot water would be gone and we asked if we could get something done like we wanted to come and stay another night And with all this is if we could get a second night discounted and they were very rude and would not do anything to help us

Staff was great

The room for the price was great! Comfortable beds, clean, accommodating to our dog. The morning staff, including the gentleman at the front desk, waitress in the restaurant on Saturday morning, and motel cleaning personnel, were all excellent!

Staff were very helpful. Beautiful restaurant.
