A cozy hotel in a nice & convenient part of Vina del Mar. Refurbished about 5 years, it has an old world feel with new furniture & other modern "workings". I liked it so much better than a large chain hotel. We walked everywhere, easily took the train to Valparaiso (station is close by), and found delicious restaurants close by. Quite a find!

A very nice reasonably priced boutique hotel (Inn) in Vina del Mar. It has a very comfortable common sitting room that can be used by guests to read and enjoy a glass of wine after a day of sight seeing. Breakfast was included and was a very well stocked buffet with high quality food. The staff on the front desk are very nice and extremely helpful. Location was good and easy walk to the bus stop and metro station. The beach was also walkable (about a 20 min easy walk....mostly flat). There are a number of restaurants about a 15 min walk away however on our second last night we found a small pizza and pasta place that had just opened that serves all homemade food. It is at the top of the street (a 5 min walk away) and is owned by two young ladies. One is Chilean and the other is Italian and they both speak english. It was so good we went there twice. Highly reccomend Hotel Cassinetta.

This hotel is a well kept jewel. We have been traveling for 2 weeks across Chile and Argentina and this find was what we needed. It was quiet nights sleep. The staff was helpful but not intrusive. The breakfast was homemade, special order, what we wanted not buffet. There is no elevator but stairs were wide and easy to move through. Nice, safe neighborhood to walk around.

we could not have enjoyed our stay more. the staff went out of their way to provide services and information that we needed. we were a group of 10 friends and were able to use the beautiful garden to visit. the buffet breakfast was delicious and the house itself made one feel at home.
Two tours were taken as a result of brochures in the lobby. Both were excellent!

Very clean and lovely small hotel in a residential neighborhood with friendly stsff and good breakfast. They will do your eggs other than scrambled if you ask. Secured parking.

We stayed for three nights before a Cruise and wish that we had stayed a few day more. Great Location... located in residential neighborhood, but only a 10 minute walk to Via del Mar. Quite and safe area. Friendly staff.. very helpful as to things to do and places to go. Via del Mar is where all the action, food, and entertainment is.. We loved the room on the third floor. Staff took our luggage to our room and collected it when we were ready to go to our cruise ship. Taxis are cheap, but not required for anything , but the port. We had a great stay, they also have a family room downstairs that has 24 hour tea & coffee... could always find a snack on the table..very nice.

Nice Boutique Hotel within walking distance to downtown Valparaiso shopping, restaurants and the beach. Room was on the main floor and was quiet and clean. Staff are very friendly and spoke good English. Complimentary breakfast had a choice of several items and was very delicious. Staff recommended a tour of Valparaiso which was very interesting. Hotel made all the arrangements. Guide was very knowledgeable and spoke English well. Picked up and dropped off at front door of Hotel. Only 4 people in the group and the guide took us to see things that other large tours would not. Hotel made all arrangements for our transportation from Santiago Airport to Hotel in Vina del Mar and also from Hotel to the cruise dock.

Hotel Cassinetta was everything we hoped for and more than lived up to the comments on expedia.ca website. The hotel and staff were delightful and the location excellent for a walk to the Centre and Municipal Gardens of Vina del Mar. The arrangements made for our pick up at the airport in Santiago were excellent as was the excursion we took to Casablanca and Isle Negra as well as the transfer to the Cruise Terminal in Valparaiso. The buffet breakfast in the lovely garden room was quite satisfactory. We intend to take advantage of this warm welcoming environment for a longer stay should health and age allow us to return to Chile in the future. A special advantage is Marcos's excellent English for non-Spanish guests.
