Hotel Kapok Shenzhen Bay

Nice, clean hotel. Good value for money. Great shower! Only suggestion is the TV in the room should be bigger and have more English channels available. We held an event there and the big screen they have I. The ballroom is fantastic.

The environment and room itself are nice, clean and cozy, also the staffs are great I can tell two front desk staffs with the last names “Pan” and “Qin” are patient and helpful.

Convenient, close to a new shopping mall and subway!

The whole stay was ruined at the last moment during check out. Must say this is the worst experience that both my friends and I have experienced from all our previous hotel stays in different places. In general, the hotel itself is pretty good and location is good since our activities were in the nearby area SZ Bay Mixc and 后海 area. The whole impression was ruined by a check out staff at the counter and her name is Amy Peng. We have booked two rooms with four of us, upon room settlement, we asked Amy Peng to split the room bill, she didn't look very happy when we requested that as she was holding two room bills stapled together in a pile. Then we said we would also like to split each room's bill into half so each of us will pay our share by whatever means we want ( such as cash/credit card/wechat pay). We always do this when we travel together so it's easy to settle all charges clearly and quickly for us. Never thought that this is not welcomed by the check out staff. Upon our second polite request, Amy Peng didn't look happy at all and had her black face all that time. My friend asked if theres any problem, she didnt respond and continue to have her black face. My friend got annoyed and asked her why she has that kind of attitude. She responded right away with a defying voice saying there's nothing wrong with her and asked if we had any problem. We were totally taken by her rude behaviour. Am surprised there are people like that working in the service industry...

Very nice service

Rooms sizes was not what I expected!

Booked it because of a concert at Shenzhen stadium. It's 5-10 min walking distance which is a perfect location for a stay if a concert ends late. The nearby area is under development, thus you will need to walk all the way back to the central area for food, shopping and etc. Weird structure for the toilet though, it's separated from the bath area.

staff was not helpful. Room structure is just crazy. toilet is separated with no ventilation. you have to wash your hand in the next door which you have to walk across the bed to the next door to wash your hand. the door should be very dirty. I stayed 2 night. seems the bed cover is not washed/ changed after the first night. it was a FIVE STAR HOTEL. the staff come into your room even you have lock the door from inside. No Privacy, No hygiene, with silly floor plan. not good location. only good thing is the view is fine. I can receive the phone signal from Hong Kong. Not worth the price. I should book Marriott hotel. One important issue about the Hotels.com App is the location shown on the map is very very wrong. wrong location mislead customers to choose hotel. Should be fixed ASAP.

good hotel and the room was very modern and clean and comfortable. location is bad. it's not close to anything. you need to take a cab to go anywhere or eat anything. the staff was nice but they don't speak english.

I had a wonderful stay at the hotel! I have recommended to people I know already and if I am ever in Shenzhen I would stay there again! I had a wonderful spacious room on the 11 floor overlooking the bay and the sports center. The staff were very friendly and very helpful! I loved it!

if you have an event close to the ICC is great the hotel is good but the only problem is lack of english speakers

Rooms are nice. Smoking room a little musty since windows don't open. Staff was great. Not much around the area as it is not developed yet. Should be better in late 2016 or 2017.

It's a pretty new hotel with nice design. Stayed here for a few times before, but this time there was a strong odor.

Clean. The library and restaurant are nice

the hotel is very nice, but for some reason there was no way to turn down the heat, so we had to ask them to unlock the window so it could be opened. Otherwise all was good.

Brand new so everything is in great shape. Although the staff can speak some English it's not a truly international hotel based on the breakfast buffet. Also, not in walking distance to anything, not important in my case. Overall a very nice hotel for the price.

Very nice hotel with modern look - well thought out. Breakfast was good, service was just okay - Same for the reception area, service was just okay. The room was nice and spacious and clean.

It was a nice stay. The place is new, and so it seems like they are still working out some of the kinks. Overall- great stay. The sports complex is very close- great for walks, jogs. Not great for stores/restaurants to walk to.
