My stay at Kunlun was great so I extended my stay for another 3 days. The location was convenient- very close to Jing’An Temple and Jingan Pedestrian street (about 3 minutes walk), close to a subway station and nearby restaurants. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Even though the hotel is known for being one of the first and oldest hotels from the Hilton brand in the 80’s in Shanghai, it’s still very well maintained and clean. I would stay here again.

The room is clean and big, but it is old. One the positive side , one of the window can open and get some fresh air from outside as the central air conditioning is too hot. The breakfast buffet needs improvement , there is NO CHANGES at all! we stayed for 9 days, the menu remained unchanged, both of variety and quality are not good.

Hotel room is a bit dated, very comfortable bed, the room is big and could use a small table, the lobby is beautiful, fast elevators, next to Metro Subway station, location is great, lots of food choices and shopping around, the cleaning girl 侯赛男 is very helpful, will stay here again.

Rooms need a refurbishment. Air Conditioner not able to handle the warm humid temperatures. Breakfast buffet below standard. The Bar/Lounge area has very rude and unfriendly personnel. Would not recommend this hotel.
