The hotel was just at a different class compare to the ones that I have stayed in the last two weeks at the more rural cities or towns. From the point where you step in, the staff was excellent and the food was just spoilt for choice. Room was clean, nice and view of the bund made it special. I would highly recommend this hotel. Would definitely stay here again.

A fantastic hotel in a prime Shanghai location. The rooms are spacious and beautifully designed, and the range of services is impressive. The breakfast buffet was a highlight — a wonderful spread covering both Eastern and Western options. But the real star of W Shanghai is the staff. Every single person we encountered — from the warm, welcoming lady at the reception desk to everyone else we met throughout our stay — was helpful, genuinely cheerful, and went above and beyond. The upgrade to a river-view room was the cherry on top. As first-time visitors to China, W Shanghai has a huge part in making this trip truly unforgettable. Thank you to the entire team! Very conveniently located with amazing views of the Bund. Staff were very friendly and accommodating, made it a very pleasant stay. Our toddler had a great time and was given kids amenities (including a toddler pillow!) - would definitely recommend!

Absolutely loved our stay here, the view from our room was amazing. The whole staff is extremely helpful from the moment you arrive till the day you check out, the small details really made our stay memorable, there is someone always near to help you with anything that you need. The area is great near tons of shopping, restaurants, coffee shops, north bund park. Area is safe , clean, absolutely worth the price. Rooms are very modern and you have everything you could possibly need. The breakfast was also great lots of variety and they do change it up everyday. Highly recommend this hotel. Loved the birthday treat they left in my room too !

One of the best hotels in Shanghai. Upon arrival staff is there to help with any request, rooms are large and view is phenomenal. The hotel amenities are the best - I love the pool view, the change rooms, the gym is so clean and the room service is yum! Will always stay here when staying at The Bund. 10/10 Thank you Team :)

It’s rare to experience such thoughtful and proactive service, and the staff at W Hotel exceeded all expectations. They made everything feel effortless, and I genuinely felt well taken care of throughout my stay. This is a concept hotel with Chinese 5*standards and also benefits an amazing top floor bund view if you select a river view with a higher floor. However the very lengthy check in time, poor management service, limited lifts for 42 floors of rooms. We also had to queue for our breakfast. (During our stay) Lobby constantly uncomfortably crowded and busy. Personally we think this is a Chinese 5* hotel rather than Marriott chain standard. Not recommended for families
