The staff here is the most helpful, polite, and hospitable staff that I have encountered at a hotel in my life. The check in was very smooth and they even arranged pick up and drop off from and to the train station, which was seamless. The rooms were very clean, as well as the bathroom. And the location is prime, right by the South Gate, 3 min walk to central tower, and a Luckin Coffee right next door.

Free pickup and drop-off from the high speed rail station. Hotel is pretty quiet inside considering it's on a very busy street outside. Super convenient location to see everything in Pingyao. They packed our breakfast for us since our departing train left earlier than when they usually serve breakfast.

Perfectly situated for strolling the ancient city of Pingyao. The hotel has both historic character and modern finishes. Very attentive and accommodating customer service. Perfect choice if you're planning to visit Pingyao.

Great small quiet and charming hotel ideally located in pingyao ancient town. The hotel was fully renovated but managed to keep the charm of an ancient mansion. Staff speaks good English and rooms are modern and very comfortable especially if you are looking for a western type mattress. The hotel also serves organic food and continental breakfast. Everything was just perfect for our three nights stay.

This town/ city and hotel were the highlight of my trip. All the staff were very interested in guest happiness especially Betty. The hotel is in the best location for touring th Ancient Town area.. as well as the area around. The room was a modern version of the old style room, the only downside was lack of a refrigerator and sharpness of some of the floor edges when you don’t wear shoes (middle of the night) .... everything is at floor level so for some elderly it could be a problem, but ask they have raised bedrooms at a slightly higher cost but also a bigger room, still well worth the cost. Coffee at the restaurant was very acceptable for China. I would also recommend trying their restaurant lunch/ dinner set menu of local food, but watch the local wine.. it can be lethal... lol... I would happily recommend this hotel and feel it and the service will only get better for foreign tourists
