Hotel Presidente

We had a great stay here! Hotel is within walkable distance to a lot of other restaurants/shops. The ambience was great and they have excellent breakfast (free!) options. The room has basic amenities. The only issue was the AC stopped working on day 2, but otherwise, everything else was good. Their roof top restaurant also has good menu options.

Very clean rooms. Staff was incredibly attentive and polite. Adjoining casino was a pleasant surprise. Rooftop restaurant and bar was lovely. Highly recommended.

Clean, nice restaurant with a view, excellent location

Location good.

Beautiful hotel and rooftop patio. Standard king size room had a very tiny bathroom. Bed was comfortable. Rooms are older. Room service was great. Friendly staff but the food from the restaurant was very poor. Something typical a simple as Arroz con pollo was terrible. They were very accommodating and took it off our bill. The dulce de leche croissant pudding was fantastic! The hotel is in the center of the city and with minimal traffic is 40 minutes from airport with traffic 1.5 hours.

The room was amazing. The whole hotel was even better than we expected. Great staff and insane views of the city!

Very clean funky hotel with great Resturant

We splashed out and stayed in the Elegant Gentleman room. It was huge and definitely we didn’t have to worry about where to put our cases! However, despite the size of the room there was no wardrobe to hang clothes which seemed a bit ironic given the name of the room! The room was comfortable though with a view over to the mountains. Breakfast was good - buffet with lots of choice. Wifi was rubbish and the shower was quite weak and took ages to get hot - after finally working out where hot was. Also I didn’t like the manager (?) on reception. I asked him a question about San Jose and before he answered he wanted to know our room number and then i had to confirm my name and then he couldn’t answer the question anyway!

Nice hotel in run down part of town. Walking distance to many things

Great location for a short stay in San Jose. Near shopping and can walk almost everywhere in town. Rooms were clean and people were friendly. Breakfast buffet was ok not great. We ordered pancakes but got completely forgotten until after waited a long time and we asked and they were like oh you want to order pancakes? No one was apologetic at all; just order now why complain ? Still, good place to stay even with ‘I’m always right’ breakfast staffs…

Room clean but tiny and spare

This was a very hospitable, happy hotel. All the staff were helpful and friendly. The room was clean and spacious, dinner was tasty and breakfast had lots of choices. We really enjoyed our stay.

Super cute Hotel looks a little sketchy feom the outside because its in downtown San Jose. We went walking to a nearby restaurant and honestly everyone in Costa Rica is very nice and respectful. The Hotel is super cute tge staff is so friendly. They have the best breakfast in the morning!

The TV in the room didn’t not really work, no channels working well and sound bad.

Good option for downtown. Rooftop bar/restaurant is its best asset.
