Unique, artistic decor. Large connecting rooms perfect for family. Super secure oasis. Note that there may not be a tv in your room, but I found that refreshing.

I stayed at Villa San Ignacio for one night after landing late at the airport before beginning a motorcycle trip around Costa Rica. It turned out to be a very convenient and pleasant place to start the journey. The room itself was fairly basic, but it was clean and comfortable and had everything I needed for a short stay after a long travel day. What really stood out was the property. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained, with a really nice pool area that makes the whole place feel relaxing and tucked away from the road. The restaurant was another highlight. It is a lovely space and a great place to sit down for a meal before or after travel. It added a lot of character to the property and made the stay feel more special than a typical overnight airport stop. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming, which made arriving late in a new country much easier. Overall, Villa San Ignacio is a great option if you are arriving late or need a comfortable place near the airport before heading off to explore Costa Rica.

The pool was well maintained and they provide towels. It's right outside of the bar so you can enjoy your drink poolside. The hotel also has a walking trail that you can explore. The staff were excellent!

I would highly recommend staying here if you're in San Jose. It's a quiet oasis amongst the outskirts of the city. The property is very clearly well-maintained. The staff were all amazing. We had a garden view room so although close to the road, we were not bothered at all by road noise. Beautiful & definitely recommend the restaurant as well. The included breakfast was great, but we also had dinner here and the food and service was superb!

Stayed here on our last night before going to the airport. Was nice ending our vacation at a local hotel. Staff were pleasant and we had a nice dinner at the restaurant.

Lovely grounds. Tasty food. Friendly and accommodating staff. Very clean. Welcoming to families.

Your website says transport, free transportation to airport untrue

The hotel is perfectly fine for a night if you get in late or have an early flight the next day. The room was a decent size. There was only soap and no shampoo or conditioner in the bathroom. The restaurant was nice and the staff was friendly. Unfortunately, the area is quite sketchy, and I think we would have been better off either staying right by the airport, or going into San Jose. We were kept up all night by barking dogs and were startled around 3am by what sounded like gun shots.

Staff was excellent! Food was great and reasonably priced. Rooms are clean and spacious. Birding trails are beautiful! Only downside: shower didn’t get hot

Free breakfast and goid choices, could pay for extras. Staff superb, Frankie, Christopher and Thomas all so friendly. Rooms good and beds comfortable. Only thing that let the experience down was cold showers....but we would still return!!

What a beautiful little gem in the middle of the city. The rooms were very clean and spacious, and the beds were incredible. The pool was also gorgeous. We ate at the onsite restaurant, and the service was spectacular. The food was good but not the best I've had. Shampoo, etc. in the shower would have been a plus but that is the only drawback for me! Great place and a great price.

Villa San Ignacio was delightful. Christopher took very good care of us at the restaurant where the food was delicious. The rooms were very quaint and comfortable. The grounds are beautiful and include many lush trails. We will definitely stay here again.
