More about hotels in Egypt
Choose your overnight stops in Egypt
Cairo, Luxor and Alexandria offer different reasons to stay in Egypt: a capital-city visit, the heritage landscapes of the Nile Valley and a Mediterranean coastal city. Choose the destinations that lead your itinerary before selecting individual hotels.
Cairo and Luxor for different Nile settings
Cairo accommodation is the starting point for a stay in the capital. Greater Cairo includes Giza and outer suburbs as well as central neighbourhoods. A hotel selected for one part of the metropolitan area may not suit plans concentrated in another.
Luxor hotels serve a separate stop farther along the Nile Valley. The river divides Luxor into East Bank and West Bank settings, so choose the side around which you want to organise your days. A river view describes an outlook, not a cruise or an included excursion.
Alexandria for the Mediterranean coast
Alexandria stays suit travellers who want an urban coastal stop on the Mediterranean. This is a different experience from a Red Sea resort holiday.
For a trip combining these cities, arrange accommodation for each overnight stop. Let the local itinerary determine the address rather than expecting one Egypt hotel to serve the whole journey.
