A nice modern hotel. Clean and comfortable on a main road that will allow you to travel out to a bunch of different riding and hiking spots conveniently. Staff were friendly and as mentioned it was lovely and clean. Only recommendation would be to bring some earplugs if you’re a light sleeper and you happen to be in a room looking out on to the road. The windows are thick but seemingly not enough to block out noise from passing vehicles.

Nice sized clean rooms. The window in our first room was broken (222) so we changed. The road noise is loud in the ones at the front. Nice shower and comfy bed. The breakfast was disappointing, thy need more staff as there were no clean/empty tables when we arrived, no plates when we went to the buffet, and small selection of food on. The couple of staff that were working were run off their feet. Other than the noise it’s a good location to stay.

Great hotel for a great price. Dog friendly but if you don't have dogs, don't worry, there is absolutely no sign dogs have ever been in the rooms, no lingering dog smells etc. I've stayed here twice and on the second stay was in a room facing the road. I'm a light sleeper but wasn't woken by the traffic at all. There's no Aircon in the rooms but you are provided with a fan so be aware if you run hot. Facilities are brilliant and the free cake each afternoon is a nice added extra. Staff are all lovely and happy to help with anything. Breakfast is very nice but be aware that there's no full English but you do get eggs, beans and bacon. Location is good and just a short drive from Derwent dam and Castleton. Would highly recommend this place and will be visiting again myself.
