Wonderful stay in this quaint thatched Inn.
Modernised rooms and wonderful ensuite with large bath and shower over, due to the property being burnt down early in the 2000s.
Traditional wooden beamed bar and restaurant with exceptionally conscientious staff.
Full English breakfast using locally sourced produce and a thoroughly enjoyable stay for the two of us

I had a lovely room, I was surprised breakfast wasn’t included/offered.
Staff were friendly but I couldn’t get internet which may have been just me. I was on my own and wanted to plan my next day, couldn’t even get 4G. Not even in the bar. Young lady said it was a bad area??!!
Plenty parking and lots of people eating so food must be good. I just had (a very small) portion of chips.

We had a lovely stay ....staff accomodating ....rooms modern comfy bed and pillows .Gorgeous white towels and complimentary Bramley products .
Only one gripe ..couldn't get o. The wu fi easily and the plug socket didn't charge my phone ..which was a problem for the next day as no charge left .
Also no Sunday dinner service but I think that's usual these days for country pubs .Other than that very nice place to stay ..easy reach of Sidmouth

The place has a new manager from the day we arrived so not had any chance to improve things yet. The staff were friendly and good at their jobs. Could be a fab place. Just needs an update especially the rooms. Very tired.

The hotel is a very old coaching inn, full of character, and very well maintained. It is well situated for both Sidmouth and the Donkey Sanctuary. The room had a lovely bed, in a fair sized room. The en-suite was very nicely appointed. Our room was facing the road so there was some traffic noise. The food was excellent and the staff were all really attentive and provided a great service. Overall we had a lovely stay at the Blue Ball Inn, Sidmouth.
