Cavendish Hotel

Friendly staff, good breakfast buffet, convenient location.

Exceptionally wonderful. The staff especially Ozoe was amazing. She ensured that my stay was so so comfortable and also the two ladies at reception were extremely friendly and helpful. This has become our hotel of choice every time we visit Eastbourne and which is very often. Not only are the price and rooms exceptional with awesome views but the hospitality and dedication of the staff is what draws Dr Pilcher and I to the Cavendish Hotel. I would recommend this hotel anytime. Thanks guys for a great stay as always

Over booked which is fine but didn’t even have the decency to say sorry or help find different location to sleep absolutely disgusting service won’t be coming back

Shocking service appalling except for Mitchell. Amenites non existent 1 elevator OoO rooms had no fresh air or AC. The hole experience was truly appalling. In its day 1873 it must of been stunning.

Our room was spacious and the bed was comfy. The hotel just needs some tlc, as it could be really nice.

The waiter Paola was very uncouth and spoilt our Easter weekend

It was a really good experience. The room was big, with a sofa and armchairs, a small table, and a huge window with a side view of the pier and the sea. A good bathroom too.

So i dont have very high expectations and happy to just have somewhere as a base to see friends in the local area. The reception and hallways were very well kept and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. We got into the room (222) and was met by massive cracks in the ceiling, peeling wallpaper and very tired furniture. Bed was comfortable however we stumbled accross what could only be described as a used wax strip in the main room. We had a seaview however the windows were not that clear (Dirty) so shouldnt have bothered paying the extra. Were not ones to complain and have the attitude of 'It is what it is'. I just know based on that single experience we're not likley to rebook. Not sure if we were just unlucky but if other rooms are of the same state i feel a lot of maintenance and decorating is required to get the rooms upto an acceptable level.

Really friendly staff which make the hotel great.

For the price this was a great stay. I had a room with a sea view. The carpet wasn’t hoovered properly. It needs a deeper clean but overall I’m comfortable in the room. I’ve had the same room every time I stayed at the Cavendish. Which I also like

Excellent room!

Staff are great and accommodating. Not met anyone working here who isn’t pleasant. The outside area after a certain time is questionable but it is a ‘seaside’ area, therefore you do get adolescents misbehaving near the pier area. There’s only been a few occasions there loudness can be heard but they tend to move on after a while.

The staff are welcoming and make you feel at ease. It’s a shame some people choosing to stay here are not very nice towards the staff. The staff do a great job at trying to accommodate those staying.

The staff are welcoming and polite. The communal area is comfortable but would be better with an all day bar for those not working to relax.

Great value for a one night bed and breakfast stay. Short walk to town centre restaurants and back from Congrss theatre. Staff very pleasant and reasonable choice for breakfast. Would use again.
