Easy & efficient check-in, I was lucky to grab a car parking space at the front of the hotel. Due to steps within the front foyer, I had to bring my bags around to a rear entrance & take a lift to the main floor, once I had checked in. My room was spacious with a interesting "alcove" at the headboard, with easy access for switching on the rooms lights. My only niggle was the lack of white bread at breakfast, I prefer to make my own food preferences, not have them made for me. The place was within a easy 5- 10 minute walk to Plymouth Arena.

Lovely hotel with nice friendly staff. Car parking is tight at the front but can park underneath. Breakfast was nice with plenty of options. Would highly recommend and would definitely use this place again.

Easy walking distance to Plymouth Train Station, and within walking distance of the waterfront area. Good towels/linens. Decent room size. One thing to keep in mind is that the rooms are NOT air conditioned and the windows barely open two inches. There is a ceiling fan and a small electric fan however. Wouldn’t want to be there during any kind of heat wave.

A very central hotel. Very clean & staff were friendly and helpful. My one gripe is that when we were having late evening drinks in the bar, staff started tidying the room up around us & laying up for breakfast. It didn’t make us feel very relaxed or welcome to be there. That was a shame.

Unfortunately the bathroom had hairs on the bath and a razor left on the tap which was a bit off putting. Ate in the restaurant which wasn’t great, steak tough and omlette tasted like it had been fried in old fat.

We were concerned about parking in Plymouth as we had not visited the city for some years. The staff were very helpful in giving us guidance, that we could park in the underground car park, providing we arrived in sufficient time as car parking spaces cannot be booked. We were sent a map followed by an email giving us accurate directions to the car park. At breakfast, the Manager was very welcoming on our first morning, & asked us if we had had a good night’s sleep. There was plenty of choice of breakfast food on both mornings. We would stay at The Copthorne Hotel again, if we were to visit the city again.
