Cromwell International Hotel

The staff were friendly. The room was clean. The TV didnt work. There was no hairdryer. The sink was tiny so water went all over the floor. The bathroom light stopped working when I had a shower! Only one towel provided and no floor mat.

Unfortunately the person who checked us in did not appear to know what he was doing. Upon entering the room the WiFi didn't reach out room. Our shower and shower door were both broken and almost unusable. The duvet was ripped and there was no remote control for the TV. Side note very small towels. Upon reporting all of these things at the time of checking in we were told that nothing could be done till the morning. When we checked out we reported it all again and where told that we should have asked for another room and it was the night receptionists first night. Bearing in mind we didn't check in till 11.30 a new room should have been offered not asked for by us. Such a shame as I have stayed here before and it was lovely.

Much better than the reviews I’ve seen online but still nothing incredible. Room was as simple as it gets, no mini fridge unfortunately and not ventilation in the bathroom so the room always felt a bit stuffy. The elevator was very bizarre

Good location within Central London. Poor experience inside the hotel regarding room cleanliness and ventilation.

Arrived at hotel with confirmed booking from Expedia only to be informed by the hotel receptionist that they have no rooms available at the rate we paid.They however had room available for an additional cost. They confirmed they could see we had indeed booked and paid through Expedia but they would not honour this transaction. I was left with a young child in London and now where to stay. There were also other customers in the reception in the same position as us.

The hotel was adequate for my reasons for booking which was for easy and comfortable access to the Cromwell Hospital where my wife was having an operation. I was not requiring anything other than an acceptable place to spend the night and rest between hospital visits.

Was down for one night with my wife for a concert. Rooms were surprisingly decent size and clean and comfortable. Window looked out onto an enclosed wall space but we were not there for the views. Would stay here again. Hotel throughout was clean. Enjoyable stay. Bed was big enough and comfortable. Nice hotel

Dirty carpet. Dirty toilet bowl. Tatty furnishings. Chipped coffee mug. Good bed, and staff were friendly and good. Had what they describe as a superior double room, but definitely not superior!

This hotel was dirty, had broken furniture and the air con had been disconnected

On arriving to the hotel it was clear there was no air conditioning. When asked for a fan we were to told to ask the night porter who in turn did not have any. The room needed cleaning - walls have dirt and marks everywhere. The shower had a screw in the thermostat lever so we were unable to turn the temperature down and it was boiling. Had to get the maintenance man to come fix.

The staff was wonderful especially the front desk. They were very pleasant and helpful. The room/bathroom was nice and clean. The problems we had were from housekeeping. The first few days they were wonderful and then tlafter that their visits were less. I don't think they have housekeeping on the weekends. One night some gentleman knocked on the door and said he had found our room key in his room, I figured housekeeping had dropped it. Then a few days later we found a key in our door, don't know where it came from. And then on our last night, we were in the bed and some lady opened our door and we had the deadbolt locked. My husband went to the front desk and she said that wouldn't lock the door you had to lock it from the outside and then the deadbolt. We went 2 weeks with our door unlocked. The other good thing was we were about 3 blocks from the underground.

The facility is old, heater not working in winter which is a disaster. No extra blanket or pillows available. The only saving grace is the young hotel manager who works the afternoon shift. He provided us with a portable heating device to save us from the cold the next day. He’s friendly and efficient, definitely an asset to the hotel.

The property itself was run down, the room and outside/surroundings of the hotel were dirty and the room absolutely smelt to the point where we couldn’t stay there at all and ended up booking another hotel

Nice comfortable hotel. Nice room,great now to get Wi-Fi in the room. Have stayed here a few times.

The floor was not hoovered.dust everywhere. The shower was the worst part of the room. water didn’t drain, door didn’t shut, they used screw as a lever for the shower tap. How is this hotel even allowed to run.

Stayed here for 1 night. Reception had trouble understanding me. Floor outside of toilet was soaking wet meaning we had to wear trainers around the room. Toilet was constantly flooding

I just completed a trip through several countries and this was the weakest of my lodgings. I was placed on the fifth floor and access required me to take an elevator to the fourth floor before walking up a flight of stairs. Wifi was weak in the building and especially so on the fifth floor. The window was left open before my arrival and there were flies everywhere. Staff was dull and didn't seem eager to help (Example: I asked if they could recommend a nearby bar or restaurant was told "No, we cannot." That's all). They also advertised a coffee bar for the morning but it was never open when I was there. I'll at least give bonus points for efficiency when it comes to storing luggage after checkout. They actually lock it up and make you register on a sign-up sheet. That was better than just placing luggage behind the front desk.
