Delta Hotels by Marriott York

The hotel was ok the spa was nice would say it was over priced for the room the bed was slightly bigger the matress was needing replaced it had no softness to it the tv was bigger there were glass tops on the table and the units in the room that had been cleaned on top but not under the glass so you could see all the dust under them but other then that no different then a premier inn nothing special the staff were very good and glad to help very polite and friendly it did have a btilliant view of the racecourse from the terrace of the room

Good all round, only used the bar, food(sandwich) a bit pricey

Nice rooms with private baths. Hot tub was warm. The Nar and grill food was convenient but tasteless.

Nice hotel clean and tidy room breakfast was lovely

A few years since we were last at the hotel and a change of name but it was still as good, great room with racecourse view, excellent restaurant and superb breakfast with an excellent choice. All staff we had contact with very good and look forward to coming back.

Our room was amazing it was 268 it was our anniversary so we upgraded and worth every penny .house keeping was excellent we came back to our room to find rose petals on the bed and marshmallows also the bar staff were great especially Damian he went above and beyond thank you so much. Breakfast was lovely too and the evening meal was great too .we'll be back.

Good place to stay, amenities are nice, a beautiful view and staff are great, entire place is well kept. Breakfast is slightly on the pricier side.

Very pleasant stay, relaxed in the pool after a long day on our feet in York centre. The Swimming Pool is not that big but adequate but feels full with about 10 people in. Think we were lucky with our timing. There is a Sauna also. City Centre only 5mins by Uber and cheap. We went back into City for a night out. Breakfast was really Nice, even had items Gluten Free for my Wife who is Coeliac. Nice view of the Race Course from back of Hotel. Overall Very nice Hotel

Business trip and all needs catered fot

Great location. Pillows not very comfy but ok for one night.

Not my first time to stay in this hotel, always coming back

Rooms were excessively hot, fan provided but still boiling all night. Some sort of fan system in the room but didn’t seem to provide any cool air and was very noisy

Well located and the restaurant was really nice and breakfast lovely. Our king suite was located in the loft and was uncomfortably warm. We mentioed to the staff and they brought up an extra air conditioner. This didn’t help much and was far too noisy to sleep with it, so we didn’t sleep well. It definitely needs it’s own dedicated aircon system. The pool changing area was very tired and in need of some attention.

Overall we had an enjoyable stay at the Delta Marriott York. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were comfortable but could do with a little updating. We travelled when the temperature was very hot in the UK and the rooms were very warm and only a small fan was provided. There was also no air conditioning in the gym so was unable to use due to the heat but the pool and Jacuzzi was lovely. The breakfast was excellent and would definitely recommend there was lots of choice. We would still recommend the hotel despite some small updates needed. Lastly the location is excellent. A short walk from York Minster and beautfiul views of the York Racecourse on your door step.

Great stay great staff great location great hotel

Clean room, good staff ,good breakfast

Rooms pretty clean, could do with a upgrade. Staff were really helpful and all polite. Breakfast was really good with lots to choose from. The restaurant and bar was OK. Personally the meals were quite expensive for the amount of food you get.

The staff were excellent and should be commended. The room was very good but not too keen in waiting for 3 days to have the room cleaned considering the amount we were charged for the room. Not really what is expected when the economy hotels do this everyday unless asked otherwise. The gym and pool was adequate for the size but gwt in there early especially the pool as it can get quite busy. The bar was well priced and not overly priced either. The food..well breakfast was excellent and very well laid out although they are not always upto speed with replenishing food which are in high demand. The restaurant...I have to say is well over priced. On the first night we used the restaurant as it was the easier option. I had the brisket mac and cheese...well there was more beef in a beef sandwich from a corner shop. Extremely disappointed especially when it looked like it had just come out of the Microwave. My partner has the prawn risotto....a plate of mushy rice with 5 prawns on the top. Least to say we never ate there for our evening meals again. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.
