Not my first time to stay in this hotel, always coming back

Rooms were excessively hot, fan provided but still boiling all night. Some sort of fan system in the room but didn’t seem to provide any cool air and was very noisy

Well located and the restaurant was really nice and breakfast lovely. Our king suite was located in the loft and was uncomfortably warm. We mentioed to the staff and they brought up an extra air conditioner. This didn’t help much and was far too noisy to sleep with it, so we didn’t sleep well. It definitely needs it’s own dedicated aircon system. The pool changing area was very tired and in need of some attention.

Overall we had an enjoyable stay at the Delta Marriott York. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were comfortable but could do with a little updating. We travelled when the temperature was very hot in the UK and the rooms were very warm and only a small fan was provided. There was also no air conditioning in the gym so was unable to use due to the heat but the pool and Jacuzzi was lovely. The breakfast was excellent and would definitely recommend there was lots of choice. We would still recommend the hotel despite some small updates needed. Lastly the location is excellent. A short walk from York Minster and beautfiul views of the York Racecourse on your door step.

Clean room, good staff ,good breakfast

Rooms pretty clean, could do with a upgrade. Staff were really helpful and all polite. Breakfast was really good with lots to choose from. The restaurant and bar was OK. Personally the meals were quite expensive for the amount of food you get.

The staff were excellent and should be commended. The room was very good but not too keen in waiting for 3 days to have the room cleaned considering the amount we were charged for the room. Not really what is expected when the economy hotels do this everyday unless asked otherwise. The gym and pool was adequate for the size but gwt in there early especially the pool as it can get quite busy. The bar was well priced and not overly priced either. The food..well breakfast was excellent and very well laid out although they are not always upto speed with replenishing food which are in high demand. The restaurant...I have to say is well over priced. On the first night we used the restaurant as it was the easier option. I had the brisket mac and cheese...well there was more beef in a beef sandwich from a corner shop. Extremely disappointed especially when it looked like it had just come out of the Microwave. My partner has the prawn risotto....a plate of mushy rice with 5 prawns on the top. Least to say we never ate there for our evening meals again. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.

Great location with fantastic staff who did all they could to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The amenities in the hotel were first class. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this location to my friends and family.

Room was clean. Breakfast was fresh and replenished quickly. Easy to use coffee machines and could order scrambled or poached eggs. Fried eggs out. Pool was great

Comfortable sized room, sturdy and luxurious bed with two mattress toppers for cloud like sleep. Mini fridge to store my own drinks. Tv connected to my phone for netflix and other channels avaible. Nice views over the race course. Peaceful and quiet. Swimming pool was nice temperature, small but enough to have a little exercise. Didnt try the gym due to my schedule, but looked adequate. Changing rooms in good condition, on par with main stream leisure centres. Breakfast for £10 each person, provided a decent variety of hot and cold foods, various drinks available at no extra cost. Didnt try evening meals. Staff were friendly. Cleaning staff were super polite. General vibe was good and money well spent to enjoy some quality rest and relaxation.

Would recommend for a stay in York 20 minute walk into York centre. Leisure facilities are very good and well maintained. Food and bar areas very good.

We stayed at this property in May 2026. While the staff were extremely kind and helpful, the air conditioner in our room was not working and they refused to change our room since they were all booked and declined a refund/compensation too. When you pay £137 a night the least you expect is for the air conditioner to work especially when it’s been a hot day and you’re on the top floor of the hotel. Pretty poor for a ‘Marriott’ hotel. Avoid at all costs.

Lovely room, great breakfast, enjoyed the pool and sauna. Small bit of feedback, when I arrived I brought my charging cable but not my plug, it wasn’t obvious where the charging points were until I noticed they are built into the base of the light. I would recommend that the front desk staff are made aware this is where it is and maybe an indication in the room. However the staff very kindly charged my dead phone at the desk.

Lovely place to stay close enough to town centre

We were in room 169. It was a very long walk to the room. However, it was worth it. We had a full view of York Racecourse, from our balcony. The room was very roomy and well equipped. The restaurant served an excellent dinner and a very nice buffet breakfast. The hotel originally was a Manor House built in the 1880s. A very interesting history of it can be found online.
