I booked the hotel to stay in for 3 nights with my daughter whilst I was playing in the Pickleball English Open in Telford. I always look for a pool and looking at some of the reviews this was a bit of a gamble, however it definitely paid off ! Yes, the hotel is a little dated and could do with some investment, however, it was clean, the suite size was very good and the price was great value. The pool was pretty awesome. It is in a separate wooden building and was really warm, with a jacuzzi. The steam room was out of action, but the sauna wasn't and was also great. We somehow managed to use the pool twice a day, every day. I come to Telford pretty regularly, and this will now be the hotel I will book every time.

Although our room was clean and tidy the property looks very tired and in need of refurbishment. The gardens lack care and maintenence. We could not control the shower temperature and the bathroom door jammed shut when you closed it. My husband had to force it open. The TV remote didnt work properly. The wardrobe door wouldn't remain shut. We didnt use the spa facilities or swimming pool. We didnt have breakfast or eat in the restaurant, so i cant comment on these.

The staff were friendly and accommodating, offering a complimentary drink due to a delay in restaurant service. The restaurant menu was standard; the soup tasted processed, though the bread was warm and enjoyable. Decor and fittings were slightly dated, with some cobwebs on the walls. The hotel offers good value, with a gym, pool, and fully opening windows. Breakfast had some inconsistencies: the orange juice was dilute with a fusty taste, and available only once, eggs were poached nicely, but sausages were bland and there were no fruit or vegetables such as tomatoes.

Bood an executive single room but had a standard double room. Room was very dated and was in the annex. Reception could not find my booking and had to get a manager to sort out. Lights in the corridor were not working. TV signal was poor and couldn't get many channels, could not get ITV, etc. Staff were polite and helpful.

This is our second visit since covid. The place is wonderfully quiet and the pool is good. What lets it down is the hotel and pool area could do with some TLC (and a few quid spending on it). It's a little bit tired & the external appearance shows when you take a closer look. Broken soffits in the newer part and the pool needs to be refurbished before it starts to rot. there was no body wash in the changing rooms and no warning till it was too late. However, there was plenty of tea and coffee and the staff were very friendly.

Guy on reception desk when I arrived was amazing. Very informative and helpful. Food prices for the evening meal was high but it was nice. Breakfast was full English but bacon was over cooked and dried out and sausages were low quality. Tv in the room was awful, no signal so was totally unwatchable. Tried the radio option on the TV but again extremely poor reception so had to switch it off.

Lovely location, great grounds and decent pool. The room was a really good size but similar to other comments, the decor is tired, the beds were uncomfortable and old. Staff were all friendly and helpful when needed and For the money paid I was happy enough, but if you are looking for anything plush, modern or comfortable you may need to look elsewhere.

This building looks like it should be condemned. The exterior is falling apart. The windows are falling apart. The furnishings and general finish in the room has a strong feel of an abandoned building. There was only 1 towel in the room and wheni asked at reception for another as we where 2 poeple staying i was told that they do not have any as there was a wedding and they took all the towels. There was not toilet paper in the room either. The rooms again feel as if there has not been any maintenance or effort made to how they present. This is something id expect from a 1 start hotel in a war torn 3rd world country.

Nice stay. Hotel staff friendly and helpful and rooms are clean and tidy. However, from my expectations the place is looking a little tired and requires an uplift. Continental breakfast included but its only toast and cereals, no fruit and yogurt as advertised. Evening meals are ok but the burger i had on 2nd night tasted like a very low cost meat a supermarket burger on bbq tastes better. However other guests were complimentary about food and the hunters chicken was tasty. No fish choice available though. Gym is quiet and decent as was swimming pool and sauna and steam. Both of those were at a good temperature. Howver no keys for lockers so you have to leave any valuables in your room. I'd definitely stay again if i can get the same offer again. Wouldn't pay the full price and would think twice about eating in unfortunately.
