The hotel is walking distance from the train centre, Located in the city centre, all the shops. The docks are walking distance. And if you are going to the game, we took a taxi, and shared it with another 2 fans, split the cost, and walked back to the hotel, which took an hour. Walking back is all downhill. We have stayed here a couple of times just for these reasons

Disappointing trip to the Hilton Liverpool. Let’s start with the room. There were no tissues in the bathroom. The TV had a radio guide but no tv guide. The shower pressure is dreadful due to the hotel adding water saving shower heads. Then as we were staying for 2 days the room was not cleaned and we were left with no coffee or tea milk, damp towels, bed unmade and previous nights room service pizza when we returned to the room the following day at 5pm. Had to complain and got bits sent up one at a time. Shower pressure As for the breakfast the 3 coffee machines all ran out of beans so had to wait for them to be filled. The egg chef was extremely rude when asked for poached eggs and after he had cooked them he bypassed me and put them all in the tray despite me standing there waiting for them. Went for ice and at the machine next to lift was out of order as was the shoe shine. Basically place seems to be a bit run down which is a shame as its location and appearance you would expect better.

Cooked breakfast was luke warm rather than hot. Good selection. Room lacked plug sockets and 2 didn't work at all. Made it difficult to make hot drinks in room. Room itself was clean. There was a broken tile o n bathroom floor. Customer service was let down by a couple of staff who did not seem to want to help.

Only booked in for one night and did not have opportunity to use bar/restaurant as we were meeting family at another location. Welcome on arrival was good and check-in was quick. Room was spacious and appeared in good order. We had noticed that some tiles on the bathroom floor were loose, though not uneven, and whilst that was not satisfactory we planned to notify reception on checking out in the morning given we were only there for one night. However, when using the bathroom during the night my wife discovered the toilet had also been leaking and water was on the floor. On examination in the morning it was clear from staining on the floor by the toilet that this leak had been happening for some time and the concern is that the hotel had ignored the need for maintenance and the issue had gone on unrepaired. With hindsight this leak may also have contributed to the loose tiles on the bathroom floor. We reported the issue at checkout and were assured it would be properly sorted. Had we been there more than one night I would have asked for an alternative room.

Great location, easy access to docks, shops and bars. Paid for more expensive room. Sadly a few negatives that spoilt our special occasion. Pre-ordered a bottle of white wine for room on arrival, was told to provide my email address for a link to pay which never arrived despite me chasing for it. Red wine was left. Tried QR code for room service but it didn't work and went to an error page. Tried phoning room service but it just kept ringing off. Tried consierge and they messaged that we should call room service, tried room service again but just kept ringing unanswered. Went to bar and very nice member of bar staff said she would swap it for us since getting no answer off room service. Both bottles were under £35 on their wine menu. Hotel charged £45 for the wine to my card. Iron burn on carpet near bed. Mini fridge had obviously previously been installed but no longer there as a facility. Looked clean enough on arrival but layer of fibers/dust on everything by the time we returned from our evening out and sinuses felt the presence of this through the night. Not even a free bottle of water, one can of water left for 2 people at a cost of £2 if we used it. Quite disappointed as I paid for a more expensive room thinking it would mean better facilities and service, turned out no different to a budget friendly room we'd stayed in previously in the same hotel, barring maybe a couple of square feet of space, though the previous room was perfectly spacious and had no fibers/dust.

Ice machine on executive room floor has been ripped out of the wall. Deluxe room does not include a safe, nor fridge (only an empty place where it clearly used to be), nor biscuits with the tea/coffee supplies. Two cans of water with a note saying they would incur a £2 charge each if opened. Come on, Hilton…put an empty fridge in the room, a 2L bottle of water on the shelf, and 2 cheap shortcake biscuits on the tray. And fix the unsightly hole in the wall where an ice machine once stood right near the lift! Oh, and hotel front door gets locked at midnight. Keycards don’t work. Need to ring for night staff to come to open the door…which feels rather childish for an upmarket hotel in a bustling major city centre.
