Hilton Reading

The hotel itself was excellent, but the stay was marred by a large group of Londoners who allowed their children to run out of control during dinner and up to midnight, with no consideration for other guests.

Beautiful hotel, nice staff

The staff were great, the rooms were clean & comfortable and the food (dinner and breakfast) was very good. To make it even better, it was only 1 mile away from where i had to go with work. Great stay and will definitely stay at this hotel again when in the area next.

Staff great breakfast amazing loved the stay

Rooms very good, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was delicious and had a good variety. Staff at front desk weren't exactly friendly but were efficient. Staff in restaurant were helpful and cheery. Steam room and sauna werent very clean but pool was nice.

We stayed at the hotel as we were attending an event . The hotel room was clean and comfortable and good value. The event went very smoothly and the food was amazing. The pool and gym were very good.

Charging parking for resident despite parking belong to hotel and restaurant charging service charges despite quality of food and services poor.

We were told to wait 10 minutes to check in, we ended up having to wait an hour and 20 minutes. The breakfast was good although the veggie sausages were awful. The pillows are unsupportive and way too soft, we were told they were the only ones. The room smelt damp and of mildew and we were unable to open the window.

On arrival had to wait for the bed to made up to a Queen, even though i spent the evening on the phone sorting this out and it was confirmed, as i had my 99yr old mother with me in a wheelchair. The onscreen menu is not available until after 6pm but didn't state so which meant we spent 30 mins deciding what ww wanted to be told cant order, use the lunch menu which was not available. Internet/WiFi does not allow you to connect to any other devices which was annoying. However, my partner spoke to the manager who was on duty during our weekend stay and he was amazing. He ensured we ordered what we wanted especially for my elderly mother and arranged for room service with complementary drinks and a complementary breakfast the morning we were leaving, which was greatly appreciated and made a big difference to our stay. Thank you.

I have raised these two matters previously but nothing has changed. In the past the rooms had 500ml bottles of water. Now there are are two small 250ml cans. Water in cans tastes flat. It is probably cheaper I query whether it is more sustainable - a bottle is nore likely to be rccled than can mixed in the room waste. Secondly the rooms have no searchable TV quide. This means you have to scroll through each channel and try to work out what is showing. This seems bizarre for a Freeview TV service. It does not add to comfort.> I have raised both thes issues formally with staff for over a year. Other than this I highly recommend this hotel
