i booked a room yesterday to treat my wife we checked in i booked a table for 5pm as i had an event to go to at 7pm we got there at 5 pm we placed our order we waited 15 mins no drink so we chased it up after we sat another 15 mins the staff didn't even know wat we ordered do we sorted that then we waited a futher half hour by then we had enough and we had to go to our event so we didnt even get a meal i planed before our night out since the last time i came here your service has got terrible u got staff stood around talking not a care in a world while we sat patient customers that didn't even get served. when we were waiting for around 20 minutes, the came to us and said can i confirm your order, he read the order and it was missing my wife's meal. he said he would sort this. whilst waiting could see the steak i had ordered on the pass. this then sat there until we decided to leave after 50 minutes of waiting, bearing in mind we were the only people in there for the first 10 minutes. when telling the gent we had to leave as we needed to get ready, he then told us it was the restaurant manager who had messed our order up. considering the restaurant was empty we did not expect this and even more so when you can see the kitchen staff stood around drinking tea and chatting.

We were given a room at first which had not been cleaned from the previous guest, we were then given a different room which smelt of body odour and food so we asked for a different room. The 3rd room we had was ok apart from the body hairs in the shower. Reception staff were fantastic though!

A nice hotel, check in easy, and a nice room. I didn’t sleep well as the pillows were too hard, but the bathroom and shower was excellent. Restaurant food was good in the evening, but disappointing at breakfast as the cooked food was just warm, not hot, but tasty nonetheless. Good service with professional friendly staff. I would stay here again.

Lovely, modern hotel with excellent amenities. Didn't eat at this hotel, so can't comment on that. Had a good night's sleep in a comfy bed (Ear plugs are a must, if you get given a room on the same side as the busy road). Parking is charged at £10 per night, and it's limited. However, if you go to the carpark across the road, it's free on certain days/ much cheaper than the hotels parking!! Although, I didn't feel my van was safe at all in either carpark. Outside area around the hotel is a huge let down, and I wouldn't advise anyone to go out alone. It's surrounded by derelict buildings and is extremely rough. This lets the hotel down massively and for this reason alone, I wouldn't return.

The hotel has been built in a run down area with a failing town on its doorstep, this creeps into the building itself with undesirable characters drinking at the bar etc.. Upon entering our room we were immediately hit with a smell of what i can only describe as stagnant flatulence! To make it worse the bathroom stunk of rotten egg obviously bad drainage. So we opened our balcony door to air the room and was greated with the smell of someone nearby smoking cannabis, this combined with the sound of sirens just made the whole evening worse. The were hairs in our bed and around the toilet. The bed was like concrete. We slept on top of the quilt with our own blanket. Initially we'd booked for 2 nights but 1 was more than enough! We left sharply early in the morning and will not be returning to Bridgewater anytime soon! No refund given. I would like to add that the staff were very pleasant.

Unfortunately we were unable to dine in the evening in the hotel as we were told short staff and kitchen was not taking any more orders, although dinning room was not full. Also we were told the room Service was not available, but we could go out the hotel for something to eat, aftef a 2 hour drive we just wanted to rest. Room perfect, shower amazing also very clean. Breakfast service brillant and attentive. Coffee machine had broken down. All in all an okay stay, just requires tweaking for food if required as in your menu for room service states upto 10.00pm, for us this was not an option. Thank you for good service from reception and breakfast waitress. Road closure did not help either. Kind Regards Teri Tilbury.

We chose the hotel because the Hotels.com filter said the hotel was dog friendly. The hotel was not dog friendly at all. On arrival I was given an A4 sheet of paper with the rules for the dog, not exactly the warm welcome we were expecting. Unfortunately dogs are allowed on reception and the bedroom but that is all so we couldn’t eat in the bar area as dogs aren’t allowed. Also dogs are not allowed to be left in the room alone so adults can’t eat in the bar either. Also on booking the lovely lady called Jasmine said she would give us a room next to the fire exit which she did (Jasmine is credit to the team), unfortunately the restaurant manager saw me using the fire exit and said that I wasn’t allowed to do that again, another example of not such a dog friendly hotel. Definitely would not stay again as the hotel is in a very undesirable area. The two bar staff we met were friendly as was Jasmine on reception when we checked out.
