What Guests Say About Their Stay

The log cabin was perfect except for 3 things. Being November the heating could have been switched on before our arrival to take the chill off the room. And instructions for how to set it up would have been nice so we didnt have to google the manufactures website to set it up for our stay. Also clear instructions on the way to get the best from the shower would be helpful. The room was clean and adequate for what we required. The staff were friendly and extremely courteous and bent over backwards to be helpful at all times. Food in the restaurant was excellent for both our evening meal and breakfast the following day. Even though the restaurant was extremely busy in the evening service was still excellent our whole stay was 5star

Stayed in the pod with en-suite for one night after visiting the NEC. Location was great with just a short and quick journey back from the NEC avoiding all the traffic. We arrived by 6pm so checked in at reception with the key to our pod handed over. Pod was small but functional and adequate for the night which we found to be warm and cosy. We ate at the restaurant and really enjoyed the quirky environment and food. Breakfast the following morning was included and again was lovely. Would highly recommend. Oh and we also bought some art that was on display.

Clean room apart from bathroom mat had not been changed and was dirty. Good parking, friendly staff. We stayed in room 6 and the family in room 9 came back at 11.30pm having a loud and shouty argument which sounded like they were in our room which woke us and lasted for about 25 minutes and then their toddler screamed and screamed constantly for over 2 hours and you could still hear the parents shouting at each other and swearing, finally got to sleep around 2.30am when room 9 went quiet, ruined our stay.

Room was very clean and welcoming. Both nights unable to adjust heating and first night was very hot and second night too cold. Second night and following morning there was no hot water so unable to shower. Would have been 5stars but hot water is essential.

Shephards hut was warm and spacious enough for 2. Poor fitting door, handle fell off. Marks on the bedding, no covering over the door window, leaving you a bit exposed. Would benefit from frosted covering. No sweeteners available in the drink provisions. Good selection of sample toiletries. Staff welcoming and friendly. Okay to rest your head after a night on the pop!

Our room unfortunately was not clean, during our stay, the room was never hovered, towels in day 1 all folded, next few days nothing left hanging. Shower door was hanging off! Floors very uneven. Very disappointed as other reviews raved about this place, sadly not our experience. 😔 Food was good, however wrong food ordering one evening, to lengthy delays at breakfast were disappointing. I’m confused by previous reviews as this most certainly was not our experience. We would not return.

We received a warm welcome from Maria on reception. The glamping pod was clean, cosy and well appointed. Comfortable bed with spotless bed linen, but would suggest a mattress protector should be used. Nice bathroom with a good shower. However, the Quickentree restaurant and other public areas were a bit too eccentric for our tastes. Far too many 'artworks' featuring chimps, Peaky Blinders, dinosaurs and 'steampunk' furnishings. Having a theme is fine, but perhaps stick to one in each area rather than throwing them all together! The food was OK - decent breakfasts, but the lasagne was awful - far too much cheese and the Bolognese sauce used tasted like it had come out of a jar. Staff were unfailingly friendly, helpful and efficient, outdoor areas all looked tidy and well kept. Very convenient for visiting the NEC and nicer than staying at a chain hotel. Good value.

Arrival was a little fraught thanks to my sat nav and arriving in the dark but once parked up I was able to get my key from the restaurant as directed.
