Nice upscale hotel with large rooms. Good work desk and internet. Breakfast had lots of choices, both hot and cold. Nice location along canal, with a reasonable (if uphill) walk into town, towards the cathedral. Getting to the hotel by foot from the station more challenging due to the hill nature of town, and construction blocking various access ways.

Bright, spacious room in this lovely hotel. Bar area works v well and it’s nice to be able to sit outside. Excellent central location means you an walk everywhere. Highly recommended.

The hotel was very nice and centrally located. We would definitely stay here again. The only issue we had was the air conditioning was not working properly in the room on either night even after maintenance looked at it. The hotel made every effort to correct the issue and we’re very easy to work with.

Great staff, very welcoming. Nice room. Tasty breakfast and restaurant/bar options for dining. Right on the river. On-site parking. Would definitely stay there another time I am in Durham!
