Nice upscale hotel with large rooms. Good work desk and internet. Breakfast had lots of choices, both hot and cold. Nice location along canal, with a reasonable (if uphill) walk into town, towards the cathedral. Getting to the hotel by foot from the station more challenging due to the hill nature of town, and construction blocking various access ways.

Really nice hotel in a lovely location. The check in experience was messy and I can't believe that for over £300 for the night when we stayed there wasn't even a fridge in the room...everything else was excellent.

Reception staff were quite rude and unhelpful. Check in was supposed to be from 2pm, room still wasn’t ready at 3:15pm. Key card kept disabling so had to keep getting it reactivated at reception. Only 1 lift worked so it always took a while to go anywhere. Expensive for the service that was delivered!!

The only issue we had was the air conditioning was not working properly in the room on either night even after maintenance looked at it. The hotel made every effort to correct the issue and we’re very easy to work with.
