Radisson Blu Hotel, Sheffield

Decided to have dinner in the hotel restaurant, terrible mistake. The starter was gambas pil pil, spicy prawns. They were dry, no sauce whatsoever and tasted like they had been dipped in tomato sauce. The side salad with it was sad and limp and had no salad dressing. The main arrived, pork, should have been with a risotto, none available so had chips. Once again the salad was sad and limp with no salad dressing. The meal was inedible. The pork was totally overcooked and tasted like old boots. Eventually a waiter came to take away my plate, not to check on the meal. I explained it was inedible, he at least agreed the pork was ruined. Breakfast was not much better, I picked the cooked items from the hot plates. Bacon, it was dry, left in the hot plate too long, potato, tomatoes, which were burnt and the driest sausage it has even been my misfortune to have on my plate. I asked for a freshly fried egg, it was burnt around the edges and didn't look at all attractive. The cup of coffee I simply couldn't finish. You have serious problems in the kitchen.

Nice hotel, very clean, helpful staff

Excellent hotel and it’s location is perfect when visiting Sheffield. We were at a concert in city hall which is literally across the square . Will definitely recommend this hotel. Also the food in the restaurant is is good too 😉

We got an upgrade ? But didn’t tell us it was straight above the building site below that started jackhammering at 7.30 am so we had an early alarm!!!! And the door stop in the bathroom we both stubbed our toes on it rather a silly place to put it

Great hotel in city centre

We were offered a 3 course meal with a glass of Wine for £25 per person, and an upgrade for £11 this offer came on my phone a couple of days before we arrived. I had both the offers the room was a superior room so much larger with a bath and the meal was also excellent. I will be coming again, as we came to a show at the lyceum and have more shows booked this year. The lyceum is only a 5 minute walk away.

The location of this hotel is excellent for everything in the centre of Sheffield, we were attending a wedding at the town hall which is just a few steps away from the from of the hotel The staff were very helpful and friendly The room was spacious and very comfy Very clean. There was water provided and an iron and board, Air con was great as it was a hot weekend Overall a great experience

The hotel is clean and the staff so attentive however a little disappointed on arrival we couldn’t make use of the roof top bar due to a private function which would have been useful to learn prior. The hotel is superb and in a unique position for the centre albeit breakfast was a little chaotic

Nice hotel. Only problem was there was no bar open to residents on the Sunday night due to a private party. This was not advertised. I think a hotel of there size should have a bar available for residents.

This hotel is ideally located for the town centre and City Hall. The air conditioned room was especially welcome on the hotest weekend of the year and it was spacious and comfortable with everything we needed - the fridge being particularly useful given the heat. It would be handy if the provided mugs actually fitted under the coffee machine. The main gripe is that a wedding taking place meant that the rooftop bar and restaurant were closed to all the other paying guests staying in the hotel, which seemed somewhat unfair. It would at least be helpful to advise guests that this will be the case before check in. The music from said wedding was also audible in our second floor room but didn't prevent us getting to sleep. The carpark pre-booking worked well and was very useful. We would stay again.

One of the nicest hotels we’ve stayed in. Our room was impeccable, very comfortable and spacious. The design very clean, modern. Staff incredibly helpful. The bar/restaurant/breakfast area well set out and appealing. Our only challenge was arriving by car and actually locating the hotel, but that was down to us, not the hotel, and we knew there was no on-site parking prior to arrival.

Fantastic in every way from booking to check out . Staff at the Hotel worked tirelessly to ensure we had a great stay . A big Thank you to Will and Alicea on reception. The Hotel also arranged parking at the nearby Q park over our weekend stay . The hotel is in a great central location near the Peace Gardens and Gallery and Town Hall and lots of eateries . Our room was perfect with lovely view , super shower and comfortable bed. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choices and coffee on the balcony afterwards. What an amazing weekend with perfect weather for the good festival too. Thanks again to Radisson staff who made it happen.

Fire alarm 2am...heat sensor not smoke sensors in rooms please

2nd time staying at this hotel, and will be back again. Clean room, bed super comfy, all basic amenities available and staff friendly. Location also brilliant.

Nice central location. Clean room, easy access

Hotel and room were clean- loved the shower! The only issue but I feel like this is at a lot of hotels was the temperature got too warm at night. Staff was so friendly.

First time we have stayed here and we will definitely stay again. Lovely Hotel.
