We loved our stay here and we are planning to come back, we loved using the spa facilities but have to say, during our stay on 26/27 May, the guy closing the pool wasn’t really attentive as the guys that were in the morning, he was in a rush to close the pool and didn’t stop kids from jumping in the pool with elderly and people with back problems around, it didn’t feel relaxing but a mayhem, we do understand it was school holiday and bank holiday, but the guys in the morning were giving warnings as the swimming states not to jump in, but he didn’t care at all. Felt a bit unfair to who wanted to relax there

We visited over the May Heatwave, the Hotel is very central to the town centre and beach. We had booked a small double room, but due to the weather conditions they kindly upgraded us & said we would be more comfortable in a more airer room, which was very kind of them. Breakfast was nice, it got quite busy round the breakfast bar, so could have been a little bigger. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again if I go back to Bournemouth.

I recently stayed at this hotel and unfortunately my experience was disappointing. Parking costs £25 per day, which I found very expensive for guests staying at the hotel. The swimming pool also requires an extra charge of £5 per adult and £3 per child, which should really be included in the stay. In addition, children are only allowed to use the pool until 6 pm, which is quite restrictive for families. The biggest disappointment was the breakfast. The quality of the food was very poor and there was very little variety. Overall, I do not feel the hotel offers good value for money and I would not stay here again.

The building was lovely, but we were on the lower ground and there was a wall obstructing our view out of the window. The room was very basic with no colour or decoration and seemed like it was put together at the last minute. We felt because we had booked via a deal we were given the very basic. Won't return

Property is in very old and damaged condition, you can hear the floor squeaks from everywhere, bar menu very poor, dinner even poorer, breakfast very dried and not fresh. My room wasn’t cleaned at all the, not even the bin emptied or fresh towels. Cleanliness wasn’t good. Everything inside and outside is old and rusty, besides the location this hotel has nothing good. Staff in the leisure centre bit rude

The room we paid for did not resemble the room we got! No Window, dark, dingy and ver, very damp. Damp on the wall between bed & bath/shower. Bed was damp. After a shower in the morning, we left fan on in bathroom to try to clear some of the damp. When we came back at 8pm, towels still soaking, in fact worse than when we left them. Yes we picked a room that cost £85 per night x 3 nights = £247.00, we left on the 2nd morning I.e booked in Sunday night to Wednesday morning, left Tuesday due to the damp conditions of the room, I suspect it was once a store room near the kitchen as it was in the basement. Never again will I trust Expedia or The Royal Bath Hotel.

Excellent location near the beach and pier. The outdoor garden is spacious and lovely on a sunny day. The indoor pool and hot-tub are very nice but a shame that residents have to pay £5/day to use them. The bar, dining room and entertainment rooms are well maintained. Our bedroom was small and definitely needed some refurbishment, but was adequate for a 2 nights stay.

Terrible room - stuck in the 'Russell Wing' which was like a dungeon. Below street level, noisy, dated and chipped furniture, no full length mirror, small room and very disappointing for almost £200 for 1 night. Nauseating smell from the corridor outside. Buffet breakfast so-so with cheap processed bread, cheap beans and awful coffee. Only received 2 stars because of its views across the bay. Cannot recommend. Wish we'd chosen anywhere else.

Wasn’t too impressed for a one night stay. When we arrived we were informed it’s £5 per person to use the pool / leisure area!!! This was not mentioned anywhere, I think advertising there’s a pool then charging guests when they arrive is ridiculous. Me and my partner are young and fairly healthy and we struggled with the commute to our room. No lifts, only to certain rooms. The room itself was ok, not suitable for the heat. There was an air conditioner but it didn’t work too well. The television remote was missing so we couldn’t even use it! The lounge area, bar and restaurant were lovely. The staff were nothing but helpful and kind so big thanks to them. The garden was also a really nice place to chill out. I’d say booking a smaller cheaper room isn’t worth it, if you have the money to splurge on a more deluxe room it may make the stay more worthwhile. Great location for the beach, food and gardens.
